We spent a week at this lovely property with our 2 teenagers and had a wonderful time. It had everything you could need and more. The pool was fabulous with a pool house next to it with a shower, and the jacuzzi was a treat for us all.
The house was comfortable, spacious and well equipped, with Wifi and a pool table too.
The owners could not have been more helpful and were so kind in advising us to arrive on Bastille day when most places are closed, ensuring we knew where we could get petrol on route etc.
Our only complaint was that we couldn't have spent longer, as it was true relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life!

“Great for kids, yet peaceful and relaxing setting for adults.”

This is a superb location if you want solitude, peace and quiet, being situated slap-bang in the middle of farmland, (although our kids made so much noise but it didn't matter as there were no neighbours!)

It has a lovely private and uninterrupted scenic view. It is very rural though and there are not any amenities within walking distance, although this did not hinder us in any way. You will need a car. There is a small minimart in Champagne Mouton which is adequate. The owners are lovely and very friendly and helpful. They stay nearby if you need anything. In fact when my daughter took ill they took us to the doctors and translated for us. The owners also greeted us when we arrived with a bottle of wine and some food provisions :)) (Thanks Janet!)

The house itself is huge and could quite easily accomodate two families. It was very clean and tidy, the kitchen was very well equipped. The appliances were all modern and the kitchen/dining area worked well for us as a family. There is a pool table in the living room which was good fun. Most importantly......there is Internet.

The master bedroom has an en suite. The water pressure isn't great but it gets the job done. Generally, it was a very comfortable week. There is no air conditioning in any of the bedrooms but the main living room has very effective air conditioning and the house cooled down in the evenings. There are several fans though which are adequate for night time.

The outside areas are lovely. There is an under cover terrace with soft cushioned chairs and couches which was wonderful to sit and read, or just sip a cool drink and relax or socialise! I would recommend this place for people with small children as the whole property is fenced and the pool is separately fenced off, as is the pond area. The pool area is fairly new and the pool (unheated) is a good size, with steps into it. The deep end is not very deep, but deep enough! There is a lovely jacuzzi and a pool house with a shower and toilet. The view is lovely as is the silence (except for the occasional mooing of cows!) oh, did I mention the wild thunderstorms they occasionally have at night? Phenomenal to behold!!!!

There is a multitude of board games and a few movies which entertained the kids. There is Freeview although we never used it as we brought our own movies etc on our laptops.

On the downside....
There were a lot of flies. If there were fly screens, this house would be much better and I understand from the owners that this is something they are working on. Interestingly though, if you sit by the pool area there are hardly any flies, it is just if you sit in the terrace area around the house.

There are very few restaurants nearby so if you want to eat out a lot, you need to travel out a few miles. Again, this did not hinder us too much as the kitchen was well equipped and we tended to eat out at lunchtimes.

I would definitely come back and the kids loved it.
