One of the best hostels I've been to! Fresh, clean, fun staff and amazing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this to solo travelers or people who travel with 1-2 friends. Not maybe the best for older people or for families. I had an absolutely wonderful stay and would come again in a heartbeat!

Only negative thing was the water supply that was a bit scarce and a quick shower would turn into a pretty long one since you have to wait for the water to "reload". Also there should be more space for groceries that needto be in the cold.

I stayed at this hostel for 5 nights. The location is great, 5 min away from the beach and few steps away from a plaza with pretty much all you need to have easy access to. Most importantly, the staff here were super friendly and nice and always ready to help with a big smile whenever I had any question. The beds were convenient and the bathrooms were clean.

We didn't stay at the hostel (because we already had accommodation elsewhere), but we often ate there (great burritos and fresh fruit juices) and we booked our excursion to Saona Island through Chris.

Chris and his team are super-friendly and helped us throughout our holiday whenever we had questions about anything.

Thanks again Chris and wishing you all the best!

The staff here is very accommodating and nice. If you have any questions, they will very happily help you out. The rooms were a little hot (no ac in communal dorm) but for what you pay, it's a pretty good deal. About 5 minutes from the beach.

I stayed at Bavaro Hostel for about a week and the experience was fantastic. I felt like I was home with the constant flow of different guess coming in, felt more like other fmily members coming by or staying over for the night. When all of us were in, it was like a rainbow in the sky, colourful lace with a variety of cultures and languages. We all showed respect and proper privacy to each other and the staff were cool parents who reminded us of our responsibility to each other by showing respect for one another and the property, while at the same time encouraging comfort and freedom to make ourselves feel at home.

The staff also provide breakfast, give directions to places nearby, call a taxi if one is needed, give assistance on how to get to other places in the country. Words cannot give the full measure of the hospitality shown by the staff, you just have to spend some time there and judge for yourself.

It is discreetly located in an area which is ideal for beach goers as it will take you less than 5 minutes, while you can enjoy a nice dinner upscale or local from the many eateries in a two to 15 minute proximity.

The price of $20 USD per night with the 7th night free if you stay for a week, is a steal of a deal if you're on a strict budget or you just like meeting others from various lands, culture and languages. A+

When I'm in Bavaro area of the Dominican Republic, my Home away from Home will be Bavaro Hostel.
