Very Clean and quaint accommodations. Set back far enough from the road to offer an excellent night sleep. Extremely friendly Family run B&B style.

Having stayed many times before it is always a treat to return. The hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from the plaza in the center of town (it is set back from the road and very quiet). The rooms are all different but beautifully decorated and very very clean (some of them are a bit small so), all having TV with cable stations (incl. some in English) and free WiFi is available throughout the hotel.
The most outstanding feature of this hotel however is the friendly reception you will receive from the staff. The great breakfast is also worth a special mentioning with fresh fruit, freshly baked bread, eggs cooked to order and plenty of home made jam and cookies. It is certainly the best place I have encountered in many years of visiting Coyhaique!!

I stayed at the Belisario alone while my spouse was working at a nearby mine site. Service from the staff was second to none. Sofia (who speaks fluent English) was always polite and helpful. They knew me by name on my second day there. The rooms are very basic but are kept immaculately clean. Breakfast was great, always fresh baking to accompany the usual yogurt, granola, fruit (cherry and apple trees on site), freshly squeezed juice, eggs made to order, cheese, cold cuts, fresh bread daily from the wood-burning stove in the kitchen with homemade jams. They will also prepare lunch and/or dinner, if you like. They are located an easy 2-3 block walk from the Plaza. There is a bakery on the same block and a market 1 block up. We decided to stay an extra night and they were full, so offered us their apartment (also on site) as an option, which we accepted. It would be great for a family -- 4 bedrooms, kitchen and living room with TV. Wifi was always working on site. Would definitely recommend.

We visit Coyhaique often and usually stay in a different place, but recently tried Belisario Jara. We were very pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone. This is a small boutique bed and breakfast with small, but clean rooms and bathrooms. The showers are very small (think cruise ship size), but the water was warm and heat in the rooms worked better than in other hotels. Our room had comfortable twin beds and a television with cable stations, including some English language television.

The staff is exceptionally helpful. Veronica´s warm smile and friendly attitude was a welcome sight every day. And breakfast was absolutely excellent. Fresh breads and cheeses, with eggs cooked to order were all very good. And the warm fireplace made the breakfast all the more inviting. I don´t believe they offer other dining, but it is within walking distance to the plaza and other restaurants. Ample safe parking too.

We will definitely return.

We stayed at the Belisario Jarra twice this past month and will plan to return next year. My husband had stayed at El Reloj (difficult location and rooms not as nice) and the Hosteria Coyhaique (pretentious and dark) and was keen to try something new. We found the Belisario Jarra in one of our books and one look at its gated gardens, turrets and light filled rooms and we were sold. The hotel offers only 10 rooms, and we had a small "apartment" with a double room and a single with bath seperated from a small sitting room with the guest computers by a hall and a door. It was quiet, very clean, white linens, warm, cozy and just perfect! We were traveling with our 11 year old. The Gated garden offers secure parking and we were 2 blocks from the plaza, two blocks from supermarkets, and the view as I walked out the front gate is something I will never forget. The morning breakfasts, featured real coffee and fresh squeezed juice. Both unheard of in Patagonia.. The cheeses, homemade jams, fruit salad, kuchen and eggs cooked to choice rounded out Breakfast. Staff was extremely helpful, down to dusting off our ash covered bags when we arrived off of the Carreterra. This is a find!
