We stayed in El Reloj after having a bad night in a nearby B&B after two days of bus transit. We had been traveling for weeks and were tired of lumpy hostel beds and shared bathrooms. We chose El Reloj as a 2-night retreat and really enjoyed the comfortable king-size bed and lovely bathroom with a bathtub. We had a table to sit at and enjoy a glass of wine and a tv with cable. The soundproofing in the rooms was terrible, so we could hear everything in the rooms next to us, but the hotel was mostly empty the first night so we didn't notice until the second night. The restaurant was good - probably the best food in Coyhaique after Mama Gaucha - and the location convenient. The WiFi was poor, breakfast a bit chaotic and I thought the room was priced too high for the town. Even given the good and bad, we still had two nights of excellent sleep here in a comfortable room, which was just what we needed at the time.

This was our second trip to this city and second stay at El Reloj. This time, we stayed for three nights after long days of fly fishing. What a pleasant and comfortable place to return to. The bed was comfortable (we stayed in room #9). The heater and hot water worked. The place was clean. The restaurant was convenient. The staff were very kind and professional. The location was perfect (a few blocks from the town square), and the view out he back was lovely. The walls are a bit thin, but we didn't have any problems with noise.

I spent five days at the hotel. I had a wonderful experience. The hotel and restaurant were in excellent condition and the staff was very attentive. I met the owner and his family who were very welcoming and willing to make my stay an excellent one.

I ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent and as good or better than any that other food that I had in Coyhaique. When compared to other options in town, The Hotel Reloj is superior in price and quality.

I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

Too expensive and unwelcoming. Lake of interest from the reception staff, not a good start for customer service. Go next door "cabanas mirador". Cheaper and much more charming.
Despite recommendation from trip advisor and nice presentation, it's definitely not worth it. Stay away!!!

We traveled there at the end of a multi-day guided tour with my in-laws (BTW- Ruth's Salvaje Corazon tour service is incredible- request Andres as your bilingual guide, especially if you like to fly fish). This place is cute- particularly the lobby. Somewhat clean, plain, small, but comfortable rooms set a few blocks from the plaza. My in-laws said they did not have hot water, but we did. The neighboring area was a bit noisy. The location is ideal as a jumping off point (and the surrounding area is spectacular). The staff was attentive. Breakfast was adequate, and the view out the back from the dining area was impressive. Not a bad choice, but might shop-around next time. NOTE: Don't miss out on the local pizzeria/brewery ("Mamma Gaucha").

The hotel is located 2 blocks away of the central square of Coyhaique. From the moment that we drove in to the drive way, we felt at home. El reloj is a small hotel, the staff is very accommodating and they spoke good English. The room was nice, clean with beatifull views to the Valley (room 21). We stayed there one night.
There is a restaurant in the hotel (El Ovejero) which serves excellent dinner. One of the best meals that we had in our 4 weeks trip.
Highly recommended option if you spend some time in Coyhaique

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view to the valley

We stayed here for 4 nights as a base to explore the area. Our room was quite cramped with a largish dining table taking up space unnecessarily. The bathroom was also cramped and there was nowhere to hang towels or clothing; no rail, hook or peg. The furnishings and carpet were rather worn and dated and the carpet could have done with a clean. We had a partial view of roof and lovely hillside.
Downstairs was much better! The lounge and dining areas were comfortable and well furnished and the food was very good. Fish and sea food is a speciality and we were introduced to some local dishes. On our first night there was no reasonable priced red wine available and that needs to be sorted.

Room Tip: I think some rooms must be bteter than the one we had!
