Their address is technically in Calico Rock, about 20 miles outside of Mountain Home. An enjoyable drive through the country and the restaurant is part of the Ozark Mountain Gallery and Wedding Gardens. Nothing fancy, the country décor is bright and cheerful with big windows overlooking the surrounding meadow and woods, and service is pleasant. We've had lunch here several times and food has never disappointed. Great chicken salad, chicken and dumplings, chicken and noodle soup (I obviously like chicken) as well as sandwiches, salads and several hot entrees. The "seafood gratin" chef's special on our last visit was outstanding; a baked casserole of shrimp, scallops and crabmeat. Always good coffee and wonderful desserts (coconut pie, chocolate cake, a cute little berry "pie" served in a coffee cup). Haven't had dinner here but will try it sometime. As mentioned by an earlier reviewer this is also an event center, specializing in weddings in the garden at the rear of the property. You can see the covered pavilion from the restaurant but we haven't ventured back there to get a closer look. Would be a charming spot in nice weather.
