Recently returned to Nisbet for vacation. Perfect resort for relaxation along with a great staff, great service and great food. Always greeted by a friendly face... Angela, Violet, Melissa at breakfast to Allison at the beach bar to Patterson and Roslyn at dinner. Can't wait to return!

My husband & I wanted a romantic, intimate, beautiful place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Nisbet Plantation was all these things and more. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent time there. We stayed in a upper premire suite. The location was excellent. What a view! Food was 5 star. The weather was beautiful. We indulged ourselves by getting the romance/honeymoon package. And also chose to use the personal water taxi only 6 minutes to Nevis instead of 1 hour on the public ferry. Swimming was great. And you can do as much or a little as you like. We have wonderful memories and lots of pictures. The plantation exceeded our expectations which were high. We would go there again.

We visited Nisbet Plantation as an experiment 2 years ago, and what we found was a truly special place, run by people who really want their guests to feel at home, and be pampered with excellent food, comfortable accommodation, and the quietness of the coconut palms swaying in the breeze with the gentle roar of the waves breaking on the nearby reef. The volcano (extinct) provides a panoramic back-view, which sets off the whole island, which itself is stunningly beautiful.

Both my wife and I have jobs at home involving long hours, and the ability to come to Nevis is the perfect antidote to our work. So we came back again this November to the same friendly relaxing sanctuary, and weren't disappointed.

If there is a downside, it's the 8 hours flight to Antigua (and THAT departure lounge...), combined with the uncertainties about the LIAT connecting flight to Nevis. But the reward outstrips the stress of travelling there by far.

Will we come back ? That's a no-brainer !

We just returned from a one week stay at Nisbet Planation and we couldn't be happier with our choice. I had been to Nevis over 10 years ago and stayed at The Four Seasons. This was a very different experience -- more personal and intimate in every way.

The staff introduces themselves to you on your very first day and calls you by name every time they see you. Not sure how they do it! They remember your preferences and go out of their tway o enusre that you are comfortable and happy whether you are on the beach, in your room or in the dining room.

The food is some of the very best that we have ever had in the Caribbean and we found ourselves anticipating every meal. And by the way, Nisbet will happily accomodate any food allergies, etc. that you may have on a daily basis. From breakfast to afternoon tea to dinner, guests at Nisbet are fed so very well.

If you are looking for a relaxing bit of peace and quiet in the Caribbean sunshine, you should definitely consider Nisbet Plantation.

Sometimes the only thing better than visiting a place like Nisbet Plantation is coming back. So, we knew what to expect: the rooms were the same as before (comfortable, casual, pretty); the welcome and service were just as warm as before (staff using our names and learning our preferences); the beach was just as appealing as before (with loungers and palapas set discrete distances away from each other); the meals served at breakfast and dinner were just as noteworthy and un-missable as last time (with a gussied-up goat stew served our last night, on my request). Our expectations were met, but this time we were welcomed back with a hand hand-written note, as well as a cocktail party hosted by GM Jamie for returning guests. Our first visit in 2008 was superlative; this time, we were treated like an even more precious commodity: returning guests.

There’s a whole world of travel opportunities out there, and it would take a lifetime (and then some) and a king’s ransom to explore all of the ones that capture my fancy. But some places are so special that they deserve a return visit. Nisbet Plantation is one of them, and I’m already plotting my next visit.

From the minute that Calvin collects you from the water taxi, the main thing you notice about Nevis is that everyone is so friendly, even Henry the welcome cat!

Nisbet is a truly relaxing resort. As in other reviews if you want to party 24/7 Nisbet is not for you, if on the other hand you want to be spoilt by excellent food, comfortable suites and the only decision to make is pool or beach, then Nisbet is perfect. I have never met staff like it, everyone is so friendly & will go out of their way to make you holiday special for you.

Every meal is a delight with plenty of choice, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner, diet starts tomorrow! The cottages are well spaced so you are not over looked & the gardens are lush & green. Fitness fanatics are also well catered for but using the sun lounger was the only exercise we got!

We were also lucky to watch a beautiful wedding & congratulate Mat & Susie.

We would recommend hiring an off roader from Funky Monkey Tours & exploring the island. Also a must is lunch with Patterson at Limes. A perfect week of pure relaxation, we would definitley recommend Nisbet & will return.

my boyfriend and i spent a week at nisbet and never wanted to leave...this is old world carribbean charm at its best!

the service and hospitality are superior!

they greeted us by name as we stepped out of the taxi with the warmest welcome...

everyone who works here is friendly, interesting, personable, fun loving, proud, gracious, truly enjoy one another and make you feel completely at home, like family.

some of the staff have been there for 25+ years and extended family members work there as well which says alot about the heart and soul of nisbet.

we celebrated my birthday the last night of the trip and they truly made this a memorable day...

if you are looking for an uber-chic, super-swanky scene this is not the place for you....but if you crave a tranquil, beautiful, laid back, low key, uncomplicated vacation you will be thrilled!

nevis remains unspoiled and uncommercialized, a true carribbean gem.... a place you must experience for yourself!
