Loved the area & restaurant! It is about 10 mins from town so it's quiet. BUT the air conditioner was very noisy and made it hard to sleep! the room has lots of space; loved having the microwave & mini frig in room. The shower had great pressure and hot water for all 4 of us to shower. .... There is NO clear open view of the river from any room; it's blocked by the trees and marina. The marina boats are very run down. Kids had fun playing on the playground and basketball courts. **Bring bug spray!

I have taken my son's and now my grand kids to Jack's since 1995. It is a tradition in our family and we look forward to going every year... I would not ever like missing a year with my family taking them to Jack's...

Cabins always clean, simple and provide plenty of space. The screen porch over the river has provided many years of great conversation after a full day of fishing. Prices are good, and Jo Jo's Catfish is a must. We will be back again this June with the "gang" highly recommend...

Room Tip: If you have more than one room, try to get them together and overlooking the river...

The word resort should be used loosely when speaking of Jack's. The "resort" features several hotel type rooms and a handful of cabins. The cabin in which we stayed was old and definitely worn but was comfortable enough. A few updates, a coat of paint and some basic maintenance are largely overdue. The boat dock where they rent out their boats was not continually managed so if you needed someone or something you had to hunt them down. They had not adequately checked the motors on some of the vehicles before sending them out and we had one that broke down. They replaced the motor and we were off again but it cost part of our group approximately an hour on the river with no adjustment to the bill or adding to the return time. There was no running water at the fish cleaning station which is a bit problematic. The woman who managed the office was very friendly and provided great customer service. My friends and I had a great time and there is a chance we would go back but I would like to see some modifications take place.

Were do you start! We have been holding our family reunion at Jack's Resort for at least 10 years. The accommodations are simple, clean and rustic. There is an RV park and basketball court on premises. The resort staff is friendly and most accommodating. JoJo's Restaurant has great food at excellent prices. A large pavilion is in the middle of the property with tables, cookers and electric outlets for deep frying the trout you'll catch. The pavilion easily accommodates our group that ranges between 60 and 90 people.

If trout fishing is what you are looking for ask for Jason Brown to be your guide. He is great and will really put you on the fish. The White River and country side are spectacular.

Costs are most economical plus the resort is minutes from downtown Mountain View, shopping, live music by the Court House and Blanchard Caves. Did I mention bike riding. Bring your Harley and you have gone to heaven
PS we held our reunion at a different resort one year but came running back to Jack's

Neil from Houston

Room Tip: Rooms with the White river view have large screened in decks while the rooms facing the pavilion are...

We spent 3 nights here the weekend before the 4th of July. We shared a double room (upstairs) with a grown son and thought it was going to be miserable. What a surprise! The beds were old, pillows flat, but had a kitchenette and the view was to die for. We took a raft trip (8 miles) and floated to resort and it was an amazing experience and the views were more peaceful than the Carribbean. We can't wait to go back. Also visited Blanchard Springs, Mt. View, and enjoyed it tremendously. The fireworks display was another shocker, larger than most city ones. Totally enjoyable trip. Next trip we will take advantage of fishing services.

Room Tip: Did not see the bungalos, old stone tiny rooms on river. Chose double room with kitchenette since no...
