“best French onion soup”
Reviewed 9 January 2013

after being cooped up for three days because of the 2012 holiday snowstorm, it was such a relief to get to panera and order French onion soup and grilled cheese. It was soooo good that we came back two days later and ordered French onion soup again, grilled cheese again and salmon salad. The only suggestion I have was to add arugula to the salad greens. Raspberry vinaigrette was good!

“Excellent Value and Location”
Reviewed 26 December 2012

We enjoy stopping at this restaurant when passing through Little Rock. The location is convenient to I-40 & I-30. As at most Panera's the food is good. One thing different about this Panera's is that you are given a device with a number on it and then a server brings your order to the table when it is ready. It is a nice touch. This restaurant is larger than most Panera's in our area with plenty of seating.

“One of the Nicest Lunch Spots here”
Reviewed 13 June 2012

Great salads, soups, and sandwiches are offered here along with a bakery section of tempting breads, pastries, and cookies. A little pricey but fabulous seating and atmosphere with free Wi Fi. Parking is difficult at best and the seating is hard to come by during busy lunch hours. I highly recommend this location... Friendly staff but everything is serve yourself.

“Better than a burger joint”
Reviewed 7 May 2012

We've eaten here once, but have also bought bread and taken home also. The sandwiches here are good, not great but good. They do seem to take a bit to get them ready but that depends on how many people are in line. This is not a place I yearn to eat at but do like some their breads they bake. The breads are very well made and tasty. Can't fault them at all on that.
Decent sandwich, nice folks..

“Great for bagels and coffee”
Reviewed 29 July 2011

Since there's not a major bagel chain restaurant in town, Panera is a great alternative. They don't have quite as many bagel options as the major bagel chains, but they do have the key ones like blueberry, everything, chocolate chip and others. While it's not quite the same as getting a fresh bagel in NYC, these are the best for this area. We love grabbing hot, toasted bagels and cappuccinos for breakfast. Their coffee prices are as good or better than the big national coffee chain in town, and Panera's coffee holds it own. They also have several breakfast options as well as a salad, soup and sandwich menu. The salads and sandwiches are good, but I haven't found one yet that I crave and is a "must" have. The salads and sandwiches can be a little pricey. The weakest part of the menu are the kids' meals. These are cold, overpriced sandwiches for the most part with a stick of yogurt as the side. No drinks are included. My kids will barely touch their sandwiches which doesn't make me very happy since they're so expensive. But the atmosphere is nice and a little more contemporary, refined than most places in this shopping area and in town. There's nice music and even an outdoor seating area (although granted it overlooks the traffic, but so do sidewalk cafes in Manhattan). The outdoor area is great in the fall and spring before the deathly summer heat and bitter winter cold hits. It would be even better if this location had a drive-thru, but the placement of the restaurant doesn't allow that as an option. Take out options also include some delicious fresh baked breads of different varieties and yummy pastries and desserts. Make sure to sign up for the Panera Card. It offers free items from time to time as a reward for eating there. Most of the workers there are also super nice and very efficient - unlike ones you sometimes see in fast food places who don't give a rip about customer service. Panera is a great addition to Lakewood Village and gives the area a little nicer option than the cheap pizza place and dollar jewelry stores across the parking lot. Just wish more places like this would come to North Little Rock.
