We spend 6 nights at Villa Beji Indah and loved every second of it. The setting is absolutely gorgeous; the kids loved exploring the beautiful lush gardens and walking around the stone paths winding through ponds with fishes, little waterfalls trees and flowers. We loved the pools and the views over the river. The room we stayed in was large and confortable, and the food excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. It was easy to walk to Ubud from the hotel (through the Monkey Forest), or a taxi ride downtown costs about 5$.

This hotel is one of our favorite place we have ever stayed at. It felt so relaxing and peaceful at all time. It was luxurious, without the price tag, and had plenty of traditional Bali little details(bedrooms with half walls, outdoor bathrooms, oudoor spa by the river, etc.) which is what we were looking for.

I cannot recommend that hotel enough. We would definitly go back in a heartbeat!

Stayed there last week. Really beautiful gardens. Great spacious room with a private little garden. Situated next to a little river and is very tropical. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Loved the room with the outdoor bathroom and shower. The perfect place for a getaway. So private that you hardly see other guests.Lovely pool.
Breakfasts good. Centrally situated ...about 15 minutes walk to Central Ubud. I was sorry we only had two nights there. A good place to get away from the hustle and bustle! The only negative was that the internet was very slow. Not a problem if you aim to have a nice quiet stay.

Room Tip: There are plenty of steps to each room. They are all quite private. All rooms and villas looked wond...

This place is very special, and by far the most beautiful and relaxing accommodation I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. You can easily walk to restaurants, and the centre of Ubud. Rio is very friendly, and we felt welcome. I will be back!

This is a gorgeous hotel nestled into the hillside above a river. For people looking for somewhere quiet and lush, this is the place for you!

The hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk out of Ubud. The walk into Ubud takes you past the Monkey Forest, and wandering past looking at the monkeys was one of my favourite pastimes (although be warned - if you have any bags or camera equipment in your hands they may try and steal it. Better to have a backpack, or hug your bag to your chest). The hotel was also happy to drop me into town on a scooter for no charge.

The villas are lovely. The rooms are comfortable - mine had a four poster bed, desk, TV and a bookcase with a great range of books. There is an open-air communal dining area with comfortable couches and a wide-screen TV, and a lovely pool (although it is quite shaded and doesn't get much sun in the afternoons). There's a lovely little room built at the bottom of the property overlooking the river which I sat in to read a book - you can also have massages there.

The staff were lovely, even for Balinese standards. They went out of their way to say hello yet didn't disturb me when I was deep in a book.

Breakfast was included in my package, and while there wasn't a massive range to choose from, what I chose was really yummy and they were willing to accommodate my special requests (which weren't too complicated - if you have food allergies it might be a bit trickier). I also ordered lunch and dinner a couple of times. The food was adequate - not the best in Bali, but much better than other hotels in the same price range that I've stayed in. There's not really many restaurants close by, but the hotel will drop you into Ubud and pick you up at a pre-agreed time if you ask.

For me, though, the highlight was the grounds. The villas are set into a hillside and separated by gardens. The gardens are just gorgeous - lush, with ponds and waterfalls all over the place.

If you're coming in via taxi it's a good idea to have the phone number for the hotel handy - it's quite hard to find.

I stayed for 2 days in the Nakula Room and cliché as it sounds, it was far too short a visit. The room was specular, my bedroom the size of a ballroom with a living area to match. I arrived at midnight so awaking the next day to find that I overlooked the infinity pool and lush green gardens was a huge treat. Taking in the view, together with the sounds of the birds, the geckos and the water, watching the squirrels play in the trees make me come down from my city stress head state to a calm, centred person in no time. Loved showering in the outdoor bathroom. The staff were so gentle, kind and helpful, the food was great and I have no hesitation in recommending this resort and can't wait to come back for another visit.

Room Tip: Overlooking the pool

This is the second time I have stayed at Villa Beji Indah. Each time I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The beautiful garden setting and the separate accommodation buildings lend a feeling of comfort and relaxed privacy. Once you enter the grounds you step away from the bustle and noise of the outside world into a peaceful environment, a small part of Balinese paradise. Highly recommended and will return to stay here on my next Bali holiday.
