“Absolutely Amazing!!”
Reviewed 10 September 2012

We just returned from a getaway clamping weekend and I can't wait to go back! Bethan and Pryderi are very kind and fantastic hosts. The dome was comfortable and fun! We were in the Eifl dome which was the closest to the kitchen and showers but still fairly private. The views were incredible and we were lucky enough to have wonderful weather so we were able to see a beautiful night's sky. We highly recommend Away From it All!!

We stayed in the Carnguwch dome in May 2012. A warm welcome from Bethan & Pryderi and the lovely hamper of welsh goodies made for a great first impression. We were very impressed by the quality & comfort in our dome, and quickly settled in. The wood burner kept us cosy & warm inside the dome, despite it being very cold for the first few nights. We were lucky to have some good weather during our stay, so we did manage to get the BBQ out and enjoyed a lovely evening outdoors with a fire to keep cosy. We'd found some giant marshmallows to toast on the fire which were AMAZING!
We've visited the Lleyn several times before, and found this location great for access to all our favourite spots and beaches. Our 2 dogs loved this holiday, with plenty to keep them entertained. They especially enjoyed watching the sheep out of the large window in the dome!
All in all, I can say that we are definitely planning on staying again! Such a nice place, great facilities and lovely hosts, really made our holiday special. Thank you both! :)

Despite mixed weather we had a great time here- loads to do in the local area. Facilities on site all that you need (inc wifi) and a lovely warm welcome. The lovely fresh eggs are a resal treat each morning. We would definately book a return visit.

We arrived in the midst of a balmy august thunderstorm but we were greeted with a warm smile, short tour, a lovely box of welcome local food treats and help with a bag of logs for the burner ...and after a mad dash with bags through the rain, collapsed in our dome...
As we shook off the rain we ( family of four...kids aged 9 &12) were delighted with our cosy, but light & airy surroundings. The big window, the oh so comfy bed and the log burner were great. The girls pulled out futons and snuggled at the edges of the dome, but it still left plenty of room to "live"in. We stoked the fire, ran in pjs to make hot chocolates in the kitchen and played board games by candlelight as the rain pounded down!
When the sun shone the next am it was so relaxing to wake up in the field..."away from it all". The river was running high and the chickens wandering free.
We had the dome closest to the superb kitchen and shower block...great for the convenience of a quick cuppa and with all pots and pans, fridge, gas stove facilties needed. We put the provided bbq to use and sat into the following nights by the fire pit making schmorgs!
We camp but are not hardened outdoor types...so this was perfect as a semi-luxurious, relaxing long weekend -without having to lug a carload of stuff!
Well placed for lovely sandy beaches, harbours to crab in, hills to walk, pubs to eat in ...or simply a fab field to sit in and stare at the amazingly starry sky....
At a very reasonable price with lovely hosts, I've never gone back to the same holiday place twice as i always think there are so many places to see and go.....but i would certainly make the exception here.

We stayed in the Carnguwch dome which is the furtherst away from the car park and the kitchen/showers. It is nestled away in the corner of a coppice next to the river. A stunning location that is very quiet and private.

The facilities are very good, two showers a toilet and kitchen in a purpose built building.
The domes are very big and spacious, the rustic double beds are a lovley touch. Everything is well thought out (candle holders on the headboard screwed down ect) and very well presented.

The area surrounding is stunning, fields and rolling hills, cows, chickens, hedges and streams.

A perfect bolthole away from it all!!!

We came for a midweek break in July and had a brilliant time. The dome was in a beautiful location you were well away from the next dome so had the away from it all feel that we were looking for. The dome itself was spacious and romantic. The log burner kept it perfectly warm at night. We will definately be back at some point in the next year. Stunning part of the world!!!

Located in a truly lovely setting, everything you need is provided; Domes are a great way to camp, lovely beds with log fire. Outside a river and spectacular views. A BBQ, open fire and clean cooking and toilet facilities. Really nice to be on a local farm which also provides a secluded natural space for both human visitors and the local wildlife.

Will return and the kids loved it.

Room Tip: Contact the owners and read website, some domes are closer to amenities.
