This is an old hotel that only has one floor of rooms. The other floors are not complete. Looks like they may have been once used but have been stripped. The man that runs it is nice but doesn't speak much English. You also never see him but he is always in the shop right downstairs. It is relatively clean. The two showers are pretty good. You have private rooms and the location is good. It is up on the hill by the fortress. It is still a climb but worth it. I recommend staying in that area instead of the actual town as it is nicer and more geared for tourist with shops, restaurants and free wi-fi places. This hostel does not have wi-fi but if you go to the restaurant right across the street (the one on the third floor with all the windows) and use their wi-fi, then you can normally pick it up on your balcony. There are really no amenities at all. If you are coming to town, ask the bus driver to drop you at the turn for the fortress. The walk is uphill but will save you bus fare. If you go all the way to town, there is a bus as well. The only real negative of the place is that if you book it and paid a deposit, he doesn't count that. You still have to pay the full price. My Albanian was not good enough to explain but I showed him my booking. He still charged us the full amount. However, the place is really cheap so in the end, it wasn't that big of a deal. If I ever went back to the town, I would stay there again but mostly because it was the cheapest place and good location. If you are looking for a proper hotel, this is not it. If you are looking for a cheap, very basic place to stay, this place is for you.
