i chose villa roka like many people did, judging by the beautiful photos of a modern-minimal hotel.the photos are misleading and the hotel from close is a dark place and by no means a 4star! they must have the most dirty carpet worldwide and the thing is they dont care about it.the room as i entered was kinda small for its money, and smelled like it hadnt been cleaned for days.anyway, the bathroom has a shower with no 'perimeter' and all water falls on the flloor.oneday we had an overflow.spa is also very dark, with good pool, hamam, massage but the most horrible jacuzzi i ve ever seen.dark with red marbel 3 tubs only and mud in the water!!!i regret for spending my money there because with the same amount you find amazing hotels.

I was stayed at this hotel during Jazz fest in August 2010 with whole family. What is very important - this hotel definitely has its own charm. It won't leave you indifferent - the style, cozy bar with glass fireplace, very clean and cozy rooms. It's the best place to have a rest for the body and soul. Excellent SPA Center with very professional staff and very comprehensible prices for the treatment. The atmosphere was fantastic in the hotel and in the city because of Jazz Fest this time but it is fantastic at any time of a year: wintertime you can skiing, summer time you can go for a walk to the mountains and during spring and autumn you can go to the SPA Centre and treat yourself. I would like to thank all staff for the really excellent stay!!!

My husband and I with our children stayed at Villa Roka hotel in December for a weekend. We chose this hotel because of the great reviews. The hotel is modern and seemed quite new. There is a large cosy bar lounge area with a nice fire and big comfy sofas which no-one but us seemed to use! The staff are very professional and helpful. They speak well english and greek(some of them). The room is modern furnished. The bathroom is spacius too. The SPA center is very big, lovely and calming. The sauna and steam rooms are great and the pool is nice with very warm water. The massages are greatest. The breakfast is delicious with a lot of choices. There is a minibus to and from gondola every 30 mins.
Good parking.
The location is the biggest negative of this hotel. It is in the center of the town. When we were there, there was no snow in the town so the walk was pleasant. At night we walked to the town where there are lots of good bars and restaurants. We would visit this hotel again.

The hotel is very good and I would definitely recomend it. The location is fine, only 2 minutes walk from the centre of the town. We have booked luxury room and it was great The staff are very good but they're english isn't fantastic. The service is good -everything you'd expect from a four star. The food is decent, but a bit repetitive. The Spa facilities are great - nice heated pool, sauna and steam bath. The rooms are perfect temperature, very comfortable beds and very spacious.Cozy lobby bar-with a fireplace-we liked the atmospera there.

Villa Roka is a hoax. The website is simply misleading. The hotel is cheap by any mean. The rooms are small, the change the bed sheets once every 3 days, the towels every 4 days, the food is awful (i wouldn't even feed my dog with it!!!), the staff is the worst ever (don't speak a word other than bulgarian, their are extremely impolite), the services are non existent. The spa facilities are ok. Coffee is awful, the restaurant is a black basement, and overall the hotal almost ruined my holidays. I stayed there for 5 days and the police was called 2 times from unhappy clients. The biggest problem is that you prepay the whole amount so that you cannot leave. But hey, if you still want to book a room to Villa Roka, thats your problem!!!!

Please, don't be misled by the website...
The hotel pretends to be a modern place designed in Japanese minimalist style. In reality, the furniture is just old and plain. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and are not comfortable at all. The 'restaurant' resembles a dark dirty basement with luminiscent lights. The food is more than awful - even in hostels serve better food. Although the offer promises wi-fi in the rooms, you can access the Internet only from the lobby but it is so slow that you'd better not try at all. The 'fitness center' is actually a small dirty room with three broken pieces of equipment. Staff are rude but what is even worse - they don't seem to bother at all.
To keep it short, from the moment we entered the hotel, we've been disappointed with all the aspects of hotel service. We sincerely regret booking this hotel and we feel as if we have been robbed.
