We spent two nights here in the ensuite double room. For the first night we were the only guests. Nothing was too much trouble and we were well looked after. Did a couple of local walks on the first day and then the trek to Feynon Lodge on the next day. This walk is all down hill but takes about 5 hours. Every room has a balcony with spectacular views and usually wonderful sunsets. Food is basic, but there is plenty of it.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Perched on the edge of the precipitous cliffs of Wadi Dana since 1995, this beautifully styled building merges elements of village vernacular architecture with more modern elements, creating a structure with a definable Arabic character, unlike any other in Jordan, offering breath-taking views of the reserve. It consists of only 9 comfortable rooms, but with a few extra beds, it can be made to house up to 23 people. Considering that the Guesthouse was originally meant to house researchers, all the rooms share external toilets & showers, except for one suite, which has a private bathroom, adding character and authenticity to the entire experience. Most rooms also come with private terraces that offer spectacular views of the surrounding wadi and mountains. The Guesthouse is also equipped with facilities for courses and conferences, making a perfect location for retreats and workshops. The Guesthouse is open all year round. ... more less
