Reviewed 11 March 2012

From the moment I arrived at the hotel till I left I felt the kindness and helpfulness from the hotel staff. The hotel has a great atmosphere and we spend a lot of time in the lobby area talking to the very friendly manager Ibrahim and the other guests. The service was excellent and we could always get lots of useful information. The breakfast was good and there was a free shuttle bus to Petra everyday. I felt that the manager would do everything to make my stay great and rememberable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers. It is great value, VERY friendly and helpful staff and you feel very welcome.

Firstly we chose this hotel because it was so reasonably priced, as soon as we arrived the previous guest who were leaving we're telling how lovely and helpful the staff were, especially ibrahim, and they were so right.
From giving us info on best places to eat, and those to avoid, bringing us a DVD player to our room to going with us to find a place to get our tired pumped, Ibrahim went above and beyond to help us. All this as well as chatting politics and finding out really interesting facts about jordan, this place was amazing. Buffet breakfast was also good with nice choice and free tea and coffee available, once per day. Definitely give this place a try, Petra is amazing and staying in a welcoming relaxing place after all the walking makes it so much the better experience. Thanks ibrahim and mahmoud.

Jordan is a lovely country and Petra is a site everyone must visit at least once in their life. The people are warm, and the owners of ValleyStars Inn in particular made us feel very much at home. My three-year-old daughter had a wonderful time with the family, and owner Ibrahim Nawafleh and his family went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. So much so that my daughter was very upset when we packed up to leave.
Ibrahim personally helped in organising meals as per our requirements as well as our transport to and from the site. The rooms were clean, the service was warm and friendly and I highly recommend a stay here to get a feel of the local hospitality.

We have been to a lot of hotels in Jordan and this was by far the best in terms of the experience and the value. The hotel has a very cozy comfortable feel about it and Ibrahim and his staff are incredible. They will go out of their way to ensure everything is catered for and treat you like family. They were very good in arranging various trips and services and helped us in making arrangements at rates lower than what we found around.

The rooms are spacious and very cozy and certainly feel like a home in Jordan. Beds are comfortable with very good heating / air-conditioning. We had trouble with heating in other hotels as it can get very cold in winter but the heating here was fabulous. You have hot water via solar heating and large, thick bath towels. There is satellite TV and DVD player (on request).

The lobby has books and movies and is a very good corner for sitting and reading or chatting with others. Tea/ coffee is available any time. There is a very good shuttle service to Petra and back. Breakfast is fresh and very good to last you for a good hiking day in Petra. You have excellent places for dinner and local sweets nearby, including supermarkets and staff will be more than happy to point you to good ones and tell you the local prices since tourists are often overcharged in the area. They can also arrange trips to Wadi Rum, Aqaba or the Dead Sea at very good rates or tell you what you should be paying if you were to arrange it yourself.

We also took a look at other hotels while we were there and this is definitely the best hotel in town.

So based on the reviews in TA i was expecting a small but clean and pleasant hotel. 2 stars it sure was. The manager – Ibrahim was very friendly and top class at customer service. He offered us Welcome Drink(with options of Tea, Coffee, Juice) when we drove down straight from the airport to his property. I totally disliked the blankets in my room- which were torn and shabby to say the least, and untidy. Looking at them i was wondering – how come no- one else ever mentioned them in reviews, maybe because NO ONE else were given those blankets. I would have had expected a more thoughtful allocation of blankets knowing that i was staying with an infant. That said, the staff was more than welcoming. At breakfast Ibrahim would ask his staff to baby sit our 7 month baby so that we have good breakfast time. Ibrahim is more like a friend rather than an owner who is ready to go extra mile to help you, doesn't matter whether he is offering you his personal laptop or driving you to Petra or helping you with your luggage.
The location is not far from Petra door, as the place is small and not an issue at all if you’ve rented a car or otherwise again Ibrahim will drop be more than happy to pick n drop you to the Petra Gate. Bottom line – Nice Place, a Perfect Manager, i think the owner is planning to renovate the property - if that happens i may stay again- again if i am promised decent blankets

Ruth on JordanJubilee made a good choice in recommending this hotel, They honored the price they had quoted to include tax and service. The hotel was very clean with beds made and room cleaned every day, They provided free wi fi, and a free shuttle to Petra, though we had a hired car, Breakfast was included, with boiled eggs, fruit. bread - Arabic style. The location was not noisy despite facing a road, We are light sleepers and we slept well in a comfortable bed. The hotel has six rooms on the 2nd floor and two on the 1st.We paid 20JD in low season,

My friend and I spent a few days at Valley Stars Inn in September 2011. We booked online before going to Wadi Musa and one thing is sure : we made a good choice, we have not been disappointed.
Upon our arrival fruit juice was offered to us and Ibrahim, the manager of the hotel, took the time to answer all our questions, and they were many :) Received with hospitality from the beginning of our stay.
Ibrahim is very helpful and friendly. On several occasions, he didn’t hesitate to use his own car to take us to where we wanted to go in Wadi Musa. And he was always ready to provide useful informations, to help if needed.. For example, he helped us to organize our stay in Wadi Rum and Aqaba. And God knows how his advices were invaluable.
Regarding the rooms, they are clean and nice…comfortable bed and made every day.
The hotel staff is discreet and smiling.
The fact that the hotel is not located at the entrance of the site of Petra is not a problem since there is shuttle service every day and it’s free.
In short, Valley Stars Inn is a well-run hotel where comfort is not missing and where the manager of the hotel behaves with you as he would with a friend, I mean you don’t feel you’re a simple and temporary client. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a place where to stay in Petra. Very good value for money!
The only negative point: our stay was too short! :(
