Dear readers,

I had the WORST experience of my travels with this particular property. After I had confirmed my booking with Booking.com and had made all necessary arrangements at least 3 weeks prior to arriving, we finally found this hotel, after a long journey by car from Amman. When we arrived, the hotel clerk acknolwedged that we had booked the hotel, but admitted that he had over-booked his own hotel and that we had no room. Fair enough, you might say, but when we were forced to go to another hotel, instead of the £44 for the first night and £38 for the second night confirmed through Booking.com, we ended up having to pay £55 per night for the other hotel...£27 more than we had anticipated. This wasn't my problem, but rather the hotel who was incompetent (or greedy) enough to over-book and over-promise his customers. The other hotel we stayed in was very nice, but I didn't appreciate having to spend £27 on nothing, as that amount was enough for a full tank of petrol from Aqaba up to Um Qais!!

If you choose to book this hotel, be aware that they do this rather frequently, and have a reptuation for cheating their customers in this way...other hotel owners in Wadi Musa don't speak highly of Valley Stars Inn's reputation, as they often have to deal with angry customers who have been turned-away from this property!

Room Tip: Go elsewhere to another hotel, like the one we were forced to go to,.

stayed here 1 night.
the place is clean, and the staff is helpfull.
the location is a bit off, but not too far.
the price is good, and this is a good option for your stay in Wadi Mussa.

tip- dont pay more than 2JD for any ride in this small town!

Good prices, excellent service, good and tasty local kitchen, good atmosphere! The owner (Ata) is realy a nice guy - and always helping you if you in all kind of issues. Even it`s allowed if you bring your own beer in the hotel (because they are not selling alcohol), A nice place to be while visiting Petra....

i stayed in a double room for 3 nights in march 2014. i had a very nice, spaciouse and well furnished room with a modern and well equiped bathroom. ac can be used for heating or cooling. wifi works in the lobby only. the hotel is very clean and quiet. paying with visa was not posible but there are atms nearby. mr hata (owner) is a very friendly and generouse man. the hotel is a 20 minute downhill walk to the entrance of petra and a 2 jod taxi ride uphill to get back. eventhough you will want to enter petra early in the morning dont miss complimentary breakfast buffett offered in the hotel next door its a very pleasant surprise!!!..

This hotel is near to the downtown but 5 min driving from the Petra gate. The room is spectacular, like a 4 start hotel in europe, but there is a big problem to get hot water because is running out really quick. The owner is incredible, really helpful, and you can rely on him, he is not the typical one who try to sell you anything, he even help you to try to avoid any extra expense. The breakfast is included but it served in a nearby hotel. They also help you with the petra night tour and everything you ask for. For giving you an example how the owner try to get you confortable, because he know is going to be my birthday the day of checking out he bought for me and my friends typical arab dessert to celebrate it.
Really nice option to stay in Petra.

The room we got was nice and clean. Not very spacious but that did not matter to us. The room was on the street side but that did not bother us as long as the window remained closed.
The breakfast was basic but good quality. The owner turned out to be super friendly and drove us back and forth to the gates of Petra. Very accountable and always in time. This was without doubt the best value for our money during our entire trip in Jordan!
