After reading the reviews I thought it would be a good hotel, value for the money.... I am user to stay in little one star backpackers hotel. So I am used to small rooms, not much comfort, etc... but entering my room in this hotel was such a dissappointment....Ok it was clean, but that's all, there are cheaper hotels, with much better rooms. So I had a clean room, and the hotel is situated in a good place. Now...why I didn't like the hotel: the room was so so small, we were with two persons and there was just place enough for the two of us, but...to put our luggage? ...and then, the reason why I gave it only one star: everytime, but everytime, someone was using the shower or...in the night the toilet we heard the water running! Secondly our room was next to the big machine outside the hotel for the airco in the rooms (I really don't know the right name). ....Our room was down (like in the cellar) so my guess is that the rooms up are much more better. But we stayed here two days and I couldn't sleep, each time the noise of running water from the toilets..grrrrr...........

Room Tip: don't take the rooms downstairs!! they are noisy

We enjoyed our stay in this nice place. Spacious, clean rooms for a good price, very friendly and helpful staff, a good restaurant and a nice roof terrace, internet available. 10 minutes walk downhill to the entrance to the ruins.
They organised a perfect one day- tour to the Dead Sea and we can highly recommend our taxi driver Mahmoud Hassanat (Mobile 0772246962).

You'll never forget this hotels facade that's for certain. And its excellent view on Wadi Mousa from the roof top terrace (bring a coat though).

The rooms are small but have all you need for exploring Petra: a bed, a shower and airconditioning. Breakfast is fine with the usual salads, toast, yogurt and cornflakes. If you're with a group they can organize a buffet on the rooftop terrace. You can get the Wifi access code for a single dinar and then use it for your entire stay.

The hotel is located outside the city center, but getting to it on foot is easy if you don't mind taking the gravel road down hill. Back up is most easily done by taxi which do have meters, however the drivers prefer the 5 dinar quote if you ask for a price onforehand. (use the meter instead!)

Sometimes waterpressure is low, which is followed by the spectacular filling of the watertanks by truck.

Me, my brother and my dad hated this hotel because....
We paid for a room with a view, fair enough we got a view but it was of the backyard which was grubby and not nice to wake upto. We asked why we didn't get a view and they said they were full but still charged us the full price.
Worse than that, there was cockroaches in the corridor, very poor breakfast (we were the only ones in there and the chef stood and watched us eat), there was a dripping tap throughout the night which turned out to be next doors tap which was even more annoying!!!! The toilet door didn't shut properly unless someone held it shut for you, the light flickered on and off in the bathroom, the toilet didnt actually flush and the shower was rubbish. the hill was almost impossible to walk up after spending the day in Petra and to get to Petra you had to walk down something that was like a cliff with just mud and I did it in flip flops which wasn't a good idea!!! The manager made us move our car so another guest could park where we were which didn't seem fair... Then as we went to leave, by coincidence the credit card machine had 'just' broken which meant we had to drive the manager to the cash point to be able to pay.

I really liked this hotel; perfect for what we needed. Clean, Tidy, simple, decent breakfast... But the problem was that the water pressure was pretty much non-existant. I personally could bird bath just fine but there wasn't really a shower. That was a real let down because the price for the hotel was actually reasonable.

Room Tip: Ensure the water pressure is good in your room... or move.
