The rooms were comfy and clean. Decorated nicely. I enjoyed breakfast; a lot to choose from. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Ibrahim from the Turkish Bath adjoined to the hotel. He took my friend and I to the corner shop to buy snacks for our day-trip into Petra, so we wouldn't have to pay inflated prices at the site! So sweet...he got us Jordanian price instead of tourist price!
I would stay here again without hesitation. I hope to make my way back at some point!

The hotel was clean and there was reasonable parking in front. The distance the Petra site-entry was quite a long way away so own transportation is advisable.

I want to recommend Hidab hotel in Petra.
The rooms was clean and we had a great view.
The price was very fair. Remember to add 20% to the price you get online for tax and service.
Breakfast was not good, better to get something in the grocery store next to the hotel.

But the best thing above all was the service- The reception staff helped us with every request we had- if it is a cab or if we wanted to eat good local food or what explanations and recommendation of what should we do and not do.

The only disadvantage the hotel has is that it is far( 2 minutes drive) from the site it self and the city center.
You have to pay 3 JAD(Dinar) to the taxi driver for each direction.

Overall the hotel is great and I strongly recommend to stay the night there.

i have to say that the staff was very helpfull and friendly, the room was good and clean and in general we had a good stay there.
Hotel hidab is located a little bit far from the entrance to petra but it is no problem getting around with taxis, and also there's transportation from the hotel to petra in the morning. breakfast is suited to local people so it wasn't what Europeans are used to...
good value for this price

Staff were wonderfully friendly, courteous and helpful. Rooms were good size but some of the party had problems regarding amenities which did not work(eg fridges and tvs). I liked the location and overall it was good value for money for budget travellers.

Room Tip: Ask for a view out front of hotel

The Hidab hotel is a great find. Situated on the outskirts of Wadi Musa (the town that has sprung up around the gates to Petra), it is about 1 mile to the main restauarants and cafes. However it is all down hill so you can walk quickly and get a cab back. It is not far.
The hotel was the closest we have seen to a 'boutique hotel' for the budet traveller in Jordan. It was really clean, very nice inside, crisp white sheets, co-ordinated bedding, smooth marble floors etc. The shower was also good in the bathroom, which was a great relief after a day at Petra.
The staff were very helpful, including free lifts into town. The breakfast was a hot buffet - many coach parties at the hotel. We were there with our two kids (2 and 1) - the staff were very accomodating and even gave us a bigger room (quadruple) at no extra costs when they saw we had booked a triple but had a travel cot.
This was a great find. We think it was excellent value for money. The nearby mosque of course means early morning call to prayer but that is a feature of middle eastern travel. It sounded 'live' not recorded which I found quite nice to listen to. The kids and husband slept through it!
