As others have mentioned, this is a small B&B with just four rooms away from Wadi Musa's main tourist drag. Very clean and comfortable with nice facilities and excellent value for money. The house is in a residential neighborhood so you either need a car or a taxi to get to the entrance of Petra (Patricia has a few names of such drivers who won't try and rip you off). The B&B is very quiet, except for the nearby mosque which calls to prayer at the usual early hour.

Patricia has lots of local advice and stories. She promptly answered my many emails, organized a guide for the hike from Little Petra to Petra (highly recommended unless you suffer from vertigo!), and booked me onto the bus to Wadi Rum; her husband most kindly gave me a, early-morning ride to catch said bus.

Excellent stay all in all and definitely recommended.

This is the first time I have written a review being generally just an avid reader on Tripadvisor.
Patricia & Eid deserve every success & the awards they have already received. They are what makes this B&B. Everyone we met in Jordan was so friendly but with Patricia I felt her knowledge of the area & commitment to ensuring her guests had a good time was second to none. She is a regular contributor to the Petra forums & it was her posts there that first made me check out this B&B.
All the rooms are on the upstairs floor of her house which has a separate entrance to their own living area.
Really nice touches were the water container where you could top up your own bottles for your days at Petra, the tea/coffee you could help yourself to 24/7 & the use of the guest communal fridge & computer. These facilities are all in the two guest lounges & the bedrooms are all situated off these communal sitting areas but with just four rooms its never going to be noisy & disturb your sleep.
Thank you Patricia, your B&B was my favorite place we stayed at in Jordan & would 100% recommend friends to stay with you.

Firstly I would like to point out that, at the moment, this is the only proper Bed and Breakfast in Wadi Musa. I seek the personal touch, that is why we invariably stay in Bed and Breakfasts and Patricia welcomed us into her home and we had a fabulous three nights thanks to her. The rooms are extremely good value when you consider that Jordan is quite expensive and her breakfasts are delicious. The rooms are not luxury but they are not meant to be at this price, they are perfectly adequate and the bed was really comfortable.
The property is a couple of kilometers from the entrance to Petra which is great because it gets you away from all the tourist aggravation. The views are fantastic and so are the horses. To get here you do need to follow Patricias excellent directions, it is not hard. She is also great at helping you plan your excursions and has a great contact in Wadi Rum.
Thank you Patricia for being so hospitable and for making our stay so memorable.

Petra (and Patricia's!) Bed and Breakfast was a great base for exploring Petra. Located a short drive up a winding road from the entrance to Petra, it boasts great views over the hillside and city, which are especially enticing at sunrise and after sunset, when the hillside is lit by streetlamps, etc. The garden and parking area are beautiful and well-tended, as is the house structure itself.

Patricia is a great hostess with a good sense of humor and very helpful knowledge about both Petra (town and site), as well as broader tourism in Jordan. Breakfast is bountiful and served in the dining room of Patricia and Eid's lovely home, which is located on the ground level of their house. The guest rooms and common room are located on the 2nd floor and accessed via a simple external staircase. The rooms and common areas are clean and basic in décor and function. The only (minor) drawback to the B&B is the lack of wifi, which has become a global standard in today's day and age (there is a desktop PC in the common area that has free wifi access, but it is a dated and loud machine!).

I especially appreciated Patricia's responsiveness to my numerous emails prior to arrival, especially as I was a solo female traveler in a rental car. Patricia and her husband Eid were also exceptionally helpful in repairing some damage to my rental car (beware of the concrete flowerboxes that border the parking area and are hidden under beautiful flowers!).

A wonderful place to start off my Jordan travels, which is one of the most beautiful countries I've visited (50+ and counting) in the world.

Room Tip: I imagine that two rooms overlooking the hillside/town have the best view and are also furthest from...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. I agree that wifi is global standard but Jordan is in many ways still a developing country and that 'global' standard isn't always there yet. We have asked for a wifi connection several times and all they tell us is that we are still 'too far' from the last telephone pole so they can't connect the cable. So until they do we have no other choice then to offer a dongle for internet connection, it may not be a 21st century solution but it's definitely a Jordanian solution :-)

Patricia's bed and breakfast is a great base for exploring Petra from. Up in the hills, it's a short/cheap taxi ride from the site itself, with lovely views and a very warm welcome. The rooms are basic but comfortable, but it's Patricia's hospitality that really makes the difference - nothing is too much trouble! We came back after a very very long day of exploring to find that she had put the heaters on in our room for us to make sure it was toasty when we returned, got up at 5.30am to drive us to the Petra site for 6am when it opened (because no taxi would have taken us) and sent us on our way with a packed lunch of breakfast leftovers.

You will immediately feel welcome at Patricia'ss B&B which is only a few minutes by car from the Petra site. The B&B is located on a hilltop and has a nice view over Wadi Rum. Comfortable and clean rooms with private bathroom, and shared living room. With good weather you can enjoy the terrace/garden. Nice breakfast (fresh bread could make it even nicer). You can order a local dinner cooked by Patricia's sister in law, which is not cheap but more than you can eat. Kind regards, Jurgen and Sandra

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. I just want to clarify for future guests that we have a nice view over Wadi Musa and not Wadi Rum.
I agree that fresh bread would be really nice and if I ever have someone to help me out with our 4 guest rooms, serving breakfast, doing dishes, doing laundry, ironing, cleaning, shopping, welcoming guests, taking the time to answer everyone's questions etc etc ... then I would be more than happy to bake some bread :-)
Regarding dinner, we charge 15 JOD for a complete menu including the main dish (usually maglouba; rice with chicken, vegetables and potatoes) salad, yogurt, soft drinks, tea and dessert (fruit or local sweets). There is no restaurant in Wadi Musa who will offer you the same for less. The ingredients have a price and obviously we want to pay Eids sister for her time and her kindness to cook dinner for our guests.

We spent 3 nights here and loved every minute. Patricia arranged for a great driver to pick us up at the border, which worked perfectly. The driver had great English and stopped for us to take pictures and check out a tourist shop. We ended up using him or his brother , if he was not available, for our whole stay and our departure to Wadi Rum. Patricia and her husband live on the first floor with 3 rooms (I think) above. Each room has its own bathroom and were very quiet. The rooms share a nice sun porch balcony with a computer and a living room with tv , games, hot tea etc. There was one other traveler there, who was a super nice graduate student from Ireland. We got there early enough in the day that Patricia suggested that we take the driver and visit Little Petra. This was a great site that was a good warm up to Petra. There were mostly locals there and the souvenirs where the cheapest that we saw in Jordan. Little Petra is also free. We then spent two days at Petra, which is the minimum to see it all. February is a good time to visit because it is not too hot for hiking and there are fewer tourists. Patricia had good suggestions for places to eat. Petra is truly one of the wonders of the world and this is a great place to stay in order to see it.
