We stayed at this motel in late March,it is a very nice place to stay. We had a king room on the second floor. The bed was very nice. A very friendly staff. They have a very nice happy hour thing in the evenings. It had pizza, beer, wine and other snacks. I would stay here again. There are a number of restuarants within walking distance.

We stayed for about 3 or 4 nights while visiting our son at grad school in town. We booked a one bedroom suite which was nicely appointed; however, we felt it was pretty tight in terms of square footage compared to one bedroom suites in other hotel chains. Also, our room was on the interstate side (very close!) so it was very noisy and we needed to put the blower or the heater on to drown the noise out. On the second night of our stay, there was a blackout that occurred in the hotel as well as much of the town preceded by an ice storm. We had no power (at all) for about 3 hours and this was a safety concern for us. The hotel was pitch black and we had to resort to using the flashlight apps on our cell phones to see where we were going in the room. I am wondering why such a new/newer hotel would not have a backup generator as many others do? Just a thought--not their fault that an ice storm rolled through and knocked the power out, but my husband was also expecting the hotel to check on guests--any of us could have fallen in the shower or blacked out. Maybe it would be a good idea to enhance/implement certain safety procedures.

As for the front desk staff, they were very welcoming upon check in and gave guests things like bottled waters and snacks. They were also happy to point out good dining spots and areas to explore. There is also a managers reception on certain evenings where you receive complimentary wine, beer, soda, snacks etc. Nice touch. The breakfast was hit or miss--sometimes hot, other times cold and not very appetizing. However, in their defense they did offer cooked protein selections where many other hotels offer just continental style breakfast items.

Would I stay here again? Sure. I would, however, definitely ask for a room that is not on the highway side and probably not book a one bedroom suite again...we had issues with maintaining an even temperature between the living area where our daughter slept and our private bedroom. Someone did come up and angle the vents downward to force a better flow of heat into the sleeping areas.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not on the side of the hotel facing the highway.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to share thoughts about your stay. Your feedback is very helpful and I appreciate the suggestions regarding our power outage procedures. We have very little experience in that matter and at the time, because the phones were out as well, the Front Desk employee thought it would be best to stay at the Front Desk so she could be easily found if a guest needed her. We will certainly take your experience into account while we make improvements to our procedures.

I'm sorry that our breakfast was hit or miss for you. We are currently trying out some new things and we think that our breakfast will be better than ever in the future. Please come back and see us again to let us know how we are doing!

I've never stayed at a La Quinta but did so based on reviews on here. We weren't disappointed. The facility here was clean, fresh. The front desk were friendly and helpful.

We slept very well, no complaints with the bed or pillow selection.

The complimentary breakfast was typical with what you get at most hotels. A tad small room, but there weren't many people there while we were down there, so it wasn't an issue.

All in all, we'd stay at this (and any other) La Quinta again.

Thank you for choosing to try out La Quinta! I'm glad to hear that you were satisfied with your stay. I agree that our breakfast room can be a little tight, we will hopefully be doing some renovations in the near future and this is one of the things that will be addressed. You'll have to come back and see us afterwards to let us know what you think!

The hotel is located very close to I 40 with several good places to eat close by, with.
several service stations. It also has a clean swimming pool and large hot tub. If you are traveling with pets this is the place to stay.
