To my understanding this is the only ryokan in Asahikawa. We stayed there for 1 night. This ryokan is located in a quite place and a bit higher in altitude, and so you will be able to have an aerial view of this city. May, the time we visited this place was not a hot season for travelling, we were very lucky to be upgraded to a suite room which was very spacious, clean and tidy.
The staff at the reception didn't speak in good English yet he was very helpful, he tried his best to understand our request and finally he helped us to make a call to confirm our booking with the mishuku we were going to stay in our next stop.
The staff introduced the room to us were very nice and professional and helped us make the bed. What's more, the public bath (hot spring) inside this ryokan is one thing you must not miss, do spend awhile before going to bed or early in the morning to have a genuine hot spring experience with the local people.
