We stayed at this hotel in July. It was a very large hotel with a nice lobby and several dining choices. We enjoyed eating the buffet dinner at the hotel both nights (ask for a reservation) good choices for adults and children. However, we chose not to eat the breakfast because it was mostly only japanese offerings and we prefer a more western breakfast. There are several convenience stores nearby.
The staff of the hotel was very helpful and gave us extra towels when asked. Also the rooms were a very nice size. The rooms are clean and basic. Great for a family needing space. Not the most modern hotel, but perfect for our needs.
The only minus was that the parking was an extra cost and I would have been happier had it been free. Otherwise a very nice stay and we would stay here again in the future.

Room Tip: our twin bed room was perfect for our family of 4.

The hotel is close to the park and the main walking street. Very convenient location.

The room was clean and neat. Big bathtub and nice toiletries. The pajama was very comfy! The staff were somehow not so friendly.

Hotel's bakery didn't open until almost 10am, but it happened at the other hotel too.

We stayed in Asahikawa on our way to Taisetsuzan National Park.
The hotel was reasonably located and walkable from the station and not far from the park.
Our reasonably sized room looked out to the snow covered mountains and had an opening window, which we like.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner in one of the hotels restaurants - Arashiyama. As our Japanese is limited the staff in the restaurant went and found another staff member who could speak English to assist us. We appreciated this.
Breakfast is a buffet with mainly Japanese breakfast fare - there was plenty to eat.

The rooms could do with some updating, but in general we were happy with our stay

We were there in Feb 2014 during the last day of the snow festival. We walked from the Asahikawa JR station to the hotel and was able to enjoy to see all the ice sculptures on Kaimono Koen. At first, I was worried about how long it will take us to get from the JR station to the hotel but if you just walked and not really paying much attention to the shops on the street, I think it is about 15 minutes walk. Not too bad. There are quite a few good ramen shops close by and within walking distance.
We were trying to exchange some US dollars to Yen but the hotel told us the best deal is to use the ATM in the post office just around the corner near the hotel. In Japan, you can withdraw money from the ATM in the post office. Even in the convenience stores, not all the machine can take the ATM card from the U.S.
A pleasant surprise from this hotel is we get to use their spa and sauna in the evening. Although it is not the same as the hot spring, it is still relaxing after all the walking in the cold weather.

This is a rather tired hotel. Generally the hotel appears rather old and poorly lit. We were given a first room which had a smell and we asked for a room change. The staff were unenthusiastic and you have to pay for parking. Do not be fooled by the spa pictures, you have to pay for entry even when you are staying in the hotel.

Myself and a group of 3 friends chose this hotel as our place of stay for 9 nights in Asahikawa and we had 2 twin rooms between us all.

The rooms were nice and clean and we had a good view from the 12th floor. The rooms were a bit on the small side but that is to be expected in Japan, plus we also had large suitcases which didn't help.

All the staff were also very friendly and happy to help out where possible. We had a rental car and parking was not an issue as it was just across road.

We also ordered room service on a couple of nights and the food was really good.

All in all I would say if you going to stay in Asahikawa this hotel is definitely worth considering.

This was not my first choice of hotel but we didn't have much alternatives due to most hotels being booked out during this winter peak season.

This was more of a business hotel, but we saw quite a number of tourists staying there as well. The rooms were surprisingly quite big, and wifi was provided free in the room. Breakfast was served at the huge ballroom with a good spread of Japanese and Western food.

The main car park for the hotel is across a main road. We initially couldn't park at the main parking facility upon returning from dinner as the car park was full, but the front desk was kind enough to allow us to park at front entrance instead.

Location wise this hotel is about an hour's drive from the zoo with the traffic. If you would like to visit the sake factory, it's about 15 mins' drive away. Surrounding the hotel there wasn't any interesting places to go so we ended up resting in the room after driving elsewhere for dinner.

I would recommend staying elsewhere than Asahikawa. However if you just need to rest for a night before proceed with your journey, then this hotel is quite good value for money.
