“A Wonderful Place toStay”
Reviewed 17 December 2013

I stayed here during my vacation, I was there 4 nights and it could not have been better in my opinion. I was traveling alone and this was my first trip to SA. Amanda and the staff made me feel so welcome it felt like home from the outset. Breakfasts were magnificent and Amanda even had a small birthday for another guest one morning. My room had the BEST view over the water with floor to ceiling windows that made it feel so open.

I will be back

This is a modern B&B but the rooms are fitted out to a very high standard and our room had stunning views over False bay with two armchairs in which to relax and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast was superb. French toast with bacon and syrup set us for the day.

This was our last night, and we saved the best until last. Set halfway up the hill, the views from the rooms were fantastic. We were met by the manager " Wonderful", who is from Malawi. A more friendly face you would not find, who helped us with our cases and got us settled in as Amanda was out. Then, we settled ourselves on the outside patio for a cup of tea, before going off the visit the Cape and the penguins. Amanda recommended the restuarant at the bottom of the hill, and we were very pleasantly surprised when Wonderful organised for us to have breakfast all set up outside the next morning.
A great stay, look forward to going back some time

I was very impressed with my two day stay here. The room came with all the bells and whistles. I have stayed in less equipped 4 star hotels. Nice decor, to both the room and the ensuite bathroom, made it very easy to relax and unwind in luxurious and comfortable style. The panoramic windows to the front aspect of the room gave stunning views up and down the east coast of the Cape Penisula. It was great to have the windows open and hear the sound of the ocean.

Amanda, the Landlady is friendly and helpful and was a source of knowledgeable information and kind assistance, prior to exploring the local area. She served up a great range of fresh continental and cooked items on her breakfast menu, which give me a great dietary start to the day.

Simon's Town Guest House will be the only place I look, if I visit again. Highly recommended and thanks again Amanda for your hospitality!

We stayed 4 nights here and really enjoyed it. Amanda and Wonderful (staff member - yes that is his name!) made us feel so welcome. Brekkie was delicious and the room was lovely, all clean lines and very crisp. Amazing views. We'd definitely stay again. It was a great place to explore cape point from - not a long drive - and we did some good hikes and swam in a natural pool.

Lovely!

This is a lovely guest house, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely clean and had beautiful furniture. It had everything we needed and more, from wireless internet, tea and coffee making facilities (with delicious gourmet cookies!), a very well-stocked minibar, a small lounge area where you can sit on comfortable chairs and look at the sea (we even saw whales from there). The service was great and the breakfast outstanding. Besides the things you normally receive in other guest houses (hot breakfast, cereal, bread, jam, cold meats, etc.) we were served a delicious Fruit salad and offered freshly baked chocolate muffins (still warm from the oven). The tea selection: 8 (!!!) different varieties to choose from, is just one example of the care that is put into every detail here. Overall, definitely one of the best guest houses I have stayed at - ever!

The view is wonderful. We stayed just few days but we have seen whales everyday.
The owner gave us a wonderful room, big with a nice bath seaviewing.
