“Good value and lovely service”
Reviewed 22 December 2013

After a few years, we returned for an evening meal. As before service was friendly and prompt. A great selection of seafood was on offer, and the portions were generous.

The food arrived rapidly and was well prepared and nicely presented. There was a nice slection of wines, with quite a few available by the glass too.

Whilst Pescado many not have the glitz and views from the more trendy venues accross the road, it is really an excellent choice for good sea food

“Worst food and service imaginable”
Reviewed 17 December 2013

Frozen so called prawns, rubbery Calamari and unattentive service made this a night to forget. Perhaps the owners count on unwitting customers who know no better.
Stay clear of this garbage for a restaurant. High time this dump was shut down, the owners have no right to be called restaurantures.

Service was deplorable

“Great taste, awesome value and cool service!”
Reviewed 12 December 2013

This restaurant has to be one of the gems of the "deep south" in the Cape. We have eaten there several times and always come away feeling satisfied and happy! A great family restaurant, with good food (especially the pizzas) and a fun atmosphere. Love the idea that they use white paper as table cloths, which you can draw on... They give the kids crayons, which keeps them busy for ages (not to mention Dad and Mom as well) Highly recommended as a good break from the more fancier and expensive restaurants which leave a large hole in your pocket!

“Good pizza”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

We like this place and we've been three times on various SA visits.

It's not exactly a "destination venue", and it's never going to win a michelin star, but if you're stuck for inspiration and you need a break from Cape Town gourmet overload, it's always a pleasant reliable place for a nice thin crust pizza, baked well in a proper wood fired pizza oven. Quirky toppings and quirky pizza names. Prices aren't bad. And the draught beer from Forresters is always mandatory.

I've not sampled anything from the a la carte menu before, because I'm only ever heading there for the pizza. Other peoples meals looked good. The table across from us ordered deserts which looked tasty, but frankly enormous.
