On the positive side: The facility offers a nice experience to see African Penguins at close quarters. It is generally kept in good repair including cloakrooms. The information boards and brochures are good.
On the negative side: Because of proximity to Cape Town it is much more expensive to enter than at similar spots along the coast. The wooden walkways get dangerously slippery in wet weather and complaints go unheeded. The artificial nesting covers may serve a purpose but definitely take away from the "naturalness" of the experience. Especially on weekends the entrance turnstiles are under-manned.
