My boyfriend and I stayed at Boulders Beach Lodge in Simon's Town for 8 days at the end of February/beginning of March. Whilst the hotel is very nice, it's the location that really does it! Though Simon's Town is very quiet (I strongly suggest renting a car,) it's nice to be away from the city, as well as so close to Cape Point. The beaches are stunning and you never tire of seeing the penguins all around the restaurant and wandering past your hotel room! One thing though, is that the restaurant's last orders are 9pm, so if you like a late dinner then head to town. The rooms are simple (no air conditioning or TV, but the rooms remain very cool anyway and the lack of TV keeps you out and about) but are cleaned everyday (Very well.) There are no hidden charges like some hotels, but a word of warning; check which car park you leave your car in to avoid a lock-in as they don't open one of the car parks until about 8am, which is no good is you have an early start one day!
