Took the family for a snack and had a lovely meal instead. Food was divine and service great. Next stop in Simons Town for sure.

“Hake by the seaside”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 via mobile

One arrival greeted and seated quickly and efficiently . Menu and specials where explained and we where surprised how quickly the food came . The grilled hake was delicious and the ambiance great with spectacular views over the false bay . We even saw a penguin come walking by . The menu is varied with with a focus on seafood and is reasonably priced . This is a popular resturant on the Cape Point tourist route so can get very busy with large groups . It is also close the the Penguin colony and a ideal lunch stop if you are costing boulders beach .

“Well placed location, tasty regional cuisine”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

If you're making a day trip to Cape of Good Hope, stop here on your way down for lunch or on the way back. Thankfully their kitchen stays open all day, so no need to worry about the kitchen closing midafternoon! We had the chicken curry and game pots and both were tasty and full portions with enough to take some back for another meal.

“Great spot for dinner”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

Had dinner here a few times during my visit to Simon's Town. A great atmosphere, especially when it gets a bit chilly and they have a fire going. Food choices are pretty standard, but done well. Everything I had was quite tasty. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is excellent.

“Superb location, and they know it too...”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We were taken here as part of a small group holiday for lunch before going to see the penguins, just a few minutes' walk away.
It is a beautiful setting, and the service was good. The food was fine, but nothing special really and relatively expensive for lunch compared with many other places we ate during our holiday. I can imagine that it would be ridiculously busy in the summer season (we were there in winter and there were three other groups in whilst we were there).
