Description: Once Upon a Time is a function, wedding and accommodation venue, where you can escape from the world into a playful fantasy world in the forest, where the possibilities are endless. We do fantastical weddings, have a quaint restaurant, riverside picnics and a very unique 1928 train in the forest, where you can stay over for a night

A very unique experience indeed. Goblin's cove is a tranquil setting of ancient of days, of fairies, dwarfs and goblins. Cosy and romantic hideaway dining areas and great food.

Celebrated my niece's 8th birthday there on Sunday and it was amazing. The food is out of this world and the service top-notch. It's also an enchanting place for girly girls of all ages, with fairies and pixies and fantasy creatures wherever you look. We spent three hours there and then only with promises that we would definitely be going back!

This lovely place has so much potential. It is a lovely venue and an absolute sanctuary, yet most of our visit we felt "in the way". Menu items such as milkshake was not available, though their website states a new milkshake bar. Very few fairies and goblins to be seen around. They could take a page out of the book of the magnificent Fairy Sanctuary in Swellendam. I truelly hope that in time more people will review them so that they can become a truelly beautiful sanctuary for young and old to enjoy.
Rotten pathways and bridges need to be fixed and old signage to derelict buildings removed. Also mean and negative signs to "be nice or go away" does not welcome guests.
The Crystal shop owner was lovely and very helpfull, she also delivers certain massage and crystal reading sessions.

After a long awaited visit to this place, my family were severely disappointed to be served stale food on chipped plates with dusty tables. We weren't greeted at the door and had to wonder around to find anyone.
Though the manager was accommodating after we complained, it was still far too poor an experience to ever warrant a return to this place.
What a shame.
