I stayed at Suresh for a couple of nights before moving across the river.
They have 6 simple but comfortable rooms with fan, mosquito net and private bathroom.
Shockingly they have hot water showers. This is achieved with a strange system whereby cold water comes from one showerhead and scolding hot water from another. You can position them so the streams cross and you don't burn too much. Although you don't need hot water here.
The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a simple veg restaurant upstairs with partial river and temple views.
If I remember rightly I paid 550R which was a little expensive but perhaps you could bargin it down.
The guesthouse is located between the river crossing and the main temple group. It's a good place to stay while visiting the attractions on this side of the river as the last boat goes at 18.00. However after that you should definitely move to the far bank which is much more chilled. I stayed at Goan Corner.
