Great location to explore Hampi. Quiet neighbourhood although at 7am the owners start their day and make quite some noise. The rooms are very clean and there is hot and cold running water. Airco and fan available. Would stay there again.

Had a clean room with working TV and AC. Hot water was available all day long. The family was very helpfull. Complementary breakfast included tea/coffee, toast butter jam and omlette. Sitting area on the roof with great view of the big temple. Wifi is available, but I didn't use it.

Lakshmi Heritage, as the name suggests, is a family run tourist home. Situated within a 2 minutes walk from the Virupaksha temple, this is an ideal place to be in and explore Hampi.
Room was clean and the bathroom was fitted with all basic amenities.

The guest house is run by a very nice family and is quite popular in Hampi. Make sure you call up and make your reservations in advance, otherwise during peak seasons, you might get disappointed. One note of caution though - all properties within Hampi are run by local families and are not luxury resort sorts. If you need luxury/comfort, staying at Hospet would be a better option. But if you want to experience Hampi, wander around its ruins at your leisure, this is the place where you would like to stay.

Cons - I visited during the peak season and the price was way too high.

Good place if you want to stay in Hampi Bazaar. It is at the end of the street so I suppose it is quiet even in busy seasons (I was there during moonsoon), the only annoying noise was from the goats early in the morning.
The room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable, for 600 roupies per night.
The hosts (living next door) were friendly and helpful, with OK level of English.

We stayed in Lakshmi for 2 nights. The room is ok with basic furnishing, the fan was slow and not so productiv, the net against musqitos was stained with blood :/ . The room was very hot and stuffy. The bed sheets and towels where clean, the wifi was not working and there where no hot water. The hostes where really nice and willing to help with our questions. We payed 600 ropi per night and this is exactly what it is worth.
