Considering we were carrying a 3 month old baby (and a new mother), we were looking for a comfortable place to stay while planning to explore the great ruins session by session.
This place fits the bill to a large extent.
Its a beautiful place landscaped with the rocky terrain and the owner has added luxury living needs without interfering by building very few cottages that are spread across
Food is cooked for the few guests and hence kind of gourmet and service is excellent
They arranged for a SUV to see hampi for the 6 of us (4 adults and 2 children including an infant) with very reasonable rates (20% more than 2 autos that were required for us if otherwise)
There are many attractions in the property itself such as sunset point, small hike and excellent views anywhere you look. You should set aside a day to explore the property itself other than exploring Hampi
The place is on the other side of the river and for all visits you have to cross the river in the available public transport (read really old boat). Pick up and drop to the river point is provided by the hotel
The cottages are rustic and not modern. Though aesthetic and comfortable are not for people who may have issues with steps, walking to and from the common area where breakfast and dinner are served. Basically not wheelchair friendly
