“A must visit..!!!”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

I visited this place with family (4 of us) and since it was my first time, I did not know quite what to expect. What I did know that it comes from a impressive lineage and it did not disappoint. It ended up being on my favourite hotel/resort list for life. The place is serene, beautiful, wonderful staff, mouth-watering and finger-licking food and to top it all, there is PEACE. They grow their vegetables, have greenery all around, anytime and anywhere service.

If once can afford to stay in a resort in Pushkar, then I am sure the person has GPS connectivity and that means that you will not face any trouble in reaching the place. I can vouch for it. Minimum 2 nights has to be in your plan as only a night might not seem enough.

With a few gltiches, the place is wonderful. And that is why I plan to go back there in August 2014, perfect getaway for a long weekend, only this time we will be more than 10 people.

Special thanks to Mr.Jatin Dawar, Manager, Sewara Group, for giving us the best.

Hopefully the next review will have a 5 star rating.

Have a good time.

My daughter & I were touring Rajistan with a group, tour was arranged through Indus Travel of Richmond, B.C., Canada & Hi Tours of India,. We checked into our room to find the floors dirty, the waste baskets had not been emptied of old banana peels and garbage from the previous guests. Washrooms looked unclean & it left you wondering if the bedding had even been changed. Weather was cold and with only one small space heater, it took most of the night to warm up the room. The Pushkar resort, given a 4 star rating by Indus/Hi Tours, was more of a back packer’s accommodation & I would not even give it a star rating, I mean the least you can do it check to see that the room is clean for the next guest & it is always a tell tale sign when the garbage cans are not emptied. I tried to have a shower the morning of departure and when I tried to adjust the shower head it came off and fell to the floor, tried to wedge it back on and was partially successful, so had one of those run around and catch the water type showers. One other couple commented to me that they did not use their shower as it did not look clean. Breakfast buffet was poor. Rural setting with a decent pool area and okay grounds. Wi-Fi only available at office complex by payment, 4 star and they charge for Wi-Fi?? Seems like everywhere in India they try to soak the tourists for every dime.

Room Tip: Cannot give any tips on getting a good room as I would avoid this "resort", just no value...

Came here on weekend with class mates & their families.

Check in was smooth, AC was pre switched on. The resort is pretty green, first view is very good.

Swimming pool.is nicely located, & well maintained. Food drinks are even served throughout the day.

Room service staff is very active & polite. But sometimes they take lot if time to deliver, may be because of distances.

Vegetarian food nicely priced & sized. Must check before ordering, or you might land up in waiting food.

Non vegetarian is highly priced, but very tasty.

Buffet is highly priced at 730 INR including taxes.

Overall, I liked the place but couldn't find any difference between other such resorts.

Its an Oasis from teh tminute you arrive.Lovely sprawling grounds landscaped with palms and bougainvillea, lillies and fragrant mogra. The vines are creeping all over the COTTAGES and MULTI UNIT accomodations. The backdrop fo the hills make it very scenic MARCH APRIL maybe the best time to see the floral beauty. The roomsa re tastefully decorated. The food at the restaurant with abundant choices and delicious. I did not try the spa.The staff are very helpful .We were there for the Mayo School reunion with about 35 people and all the arrangements were excellent. I highly recomend this resort.

Room Tip: Do visit the town of pushkar via the camel cart. The BRAHMA TEMPLE and the evening prayer at ANASAGA...

We stayed in one of the detached bungalows, not posh but comfortable. There is a good pool area and large gardens with lots of bird life. Snack food by the pool was good, but the evening buffet was not too inspiring. Also breakfast could have been better.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Since its inception in 1998, Pushkar Resorts maintains itself as the foremost luxury resort in Pushkar. Spread across 15 acres, the property was merely a stopover for the Kochhar family for their wilderness expeditions, which slowly developed into a resort with the likes of Kate Winslet and Harrison Ford visiting the property. Starting out with ten cottages and a swimming pool, soon Pushkar Resorts organically grew into forty cottages which were divided into small clusters built around the undulating landscapes. What stood out and made the property radically different from the usual lakeside properties in the city was the lush green landscape and fruit orchards that the property is surrounded by. Being one of the foremost resorts of Pushkar, Pushkar Resorts was soon established as a haven amidst nature, though with all the modern amenities required for a comfortable & memorable stay. In spite of having a secluded vibe, Pushkar Resorts is still close enough to the hustle-bustle of the Pushkar town as well as Ajmer city. ... more   less
