This place is nice and quiet but still within walking distance of the ghats (although you'll probably need to get a tuk-tuk or a map to show you where to go first, its not too easy to find). Restaurant here was great and very large. I liked the pool, very clean and cool. Rooms are ok, the ACs aren't the greatest but were pumping out cool air as best they could. Staff was nice, wifi is good in the lobby and you can lay down and relax on the huge couches inside. While you're visiting the ghats check out the Rainbow Restaurant for some great western food!

Room Tip: Visiting the Rainbow Restaurant and beware of priests giving your their "blessings" around...

The food in the restaurant was nice. The staff seemed nice. We didn't get time to explore the hotel gardens or swimming pool although they looked nice from afar. The rooms were good. The location was fair, not too far for walking into Pushkar. I recommend the Camel Safari, it was great!

In my opinion the best part of this hotel is the gardens. The lush lawns and flowers surrounding the hotel make for a beautiful and peaceful stay. We also enjoyed the pool, and reading in the sunshine there. The room was basic but comfortable, and our 2 nights were pleasant. The breakfasts we ate for 2 days outside under little grass huts, (charming but a bit rundown), were pretty good. But I would suggest avoiding the restaurant for all other meals. The one dinner we had was a disappointment, the only food in India I didn't like! If you do eat there, I suggest the stuffed naan, I have to admit that was delicious.

I know it is a huge cliche to start a review with these words, but, this is my first ever review ! It is not really my thing but having just returned to this hotel, I appreciate it so much that I feel compelled to tell you!

I have just been for a swim in a quiet, clean pool at dusk, surrounded by pink mountains with bats swooping over the pool and the sound of a chorus of insects and distant temple music drifting through the air . There is air conditioning in my room but i will not need it all the time as there is a stone balcony shaded by a beautiful old mango tree.

Hotel New Park is a haven in the dusty magical streets of Pushkar. Surrounded by extensive rose and beautiful, well maintained agricultural gardens. It is a family owned business and has been established for more than twenty years. The owner Naresh and his family live in a traditional farmhouse behind the hotel. A farming family by origin, they grow 80% of the vegetables used in the hotel kitchen on their own land inside and adjacent to the hotel . They use no chemicals and the vegetables, although not certified, are organic. Hotel New Park is a perfect combination of a natural, agricultural feel ( I see the family and workers picking various crops throughout the seasons ) and a professionally run quiet and clean hotel ( the sheets are clean and ironed, the beds well made, the swimming pool is cleaned daily ) . The staff are helpful but discreet.

There are plenty of peaceful spots to relax dotted around the gardens as well as an indian style air conditioned restaurant. The views of the surrounding landscape from the roof tops are beautiful. The view from the pool is of mountains and a hill side temple and it is clean and amply sized. The snooker table is a social place to hang out if you are inclined and Naresh will always be happy to give you a few pointers .

Hotel New Park is situated just on the outskirts of Pushkar nestling underneath the desert hills. It is a short fifteen minutes enjoyable walk to the main market place. But the area around Hotel New Park itself is dotted with hidden gems of restaurants just a five minute walk from the hotel. Some well established examples are Little Italy , selling delicious pizza and real coffee and Blue Star, an Israeli/ Indian owned garden restaurant. It is easy and affordable to hire push bikes and scooters locally if you don't feel like walking, or it is too hot. I have been staying at Hotel New Park for the past three years now, and often come with my young son. The staff are very welcoming to families and the gardens and pool are perfect for children. There are a different range of rooms available from standard to Deluxe suites with big bathrooms and a circular anteroom overlooking the gardens

Naresh and his staff are helpful and friendly and will be happy to help you organise any excursions , bikes, camel tours etc that you may wish although, personally, as i spend extended periods here, I love to spend my free time relaxing at the hotel. If it's the sanitised, homogenised stab at luxury of a big conglomerate owned hotel you are looking for, then this place is not for you. However, if you like something real, from the heart, well run and authentically Indian but with an understanding and tolerance for Western culture offered with human ness, then I recommend New Park. nice clean and spacey rooms with a delightful and very welcoming swimming pool. kitchen staff the only people that can speak limited English. food was average and no one harassed us to try and sell a "day tour" package. was able to walk from the hotel to the city centre easily. no hot water.

The walk to town wouldn't bad if it were scenic...but it's not. Try it once and then stick to the tuk tuks. It was very windy one of the nights and the windows rattled so much I thought they were going to break. The bathrooms are terrible.

this is a fair way out of the town, so you need to walk or get a tuk tuk.
The hotel is ok, but like much of india a bit past it's best.
The canteen is grim, don't bother
nice outside area for sitting
there is a pool
