“Good quality hotel in the centre of the village”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

Stayed 6th July 2013 for one week. This hotel is well situated in the village centre. Our package included free wine, beers or soft drink with evening meal, a free lunch, and an excellent selection at breakfast. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Our room was at the front to side of the hotel, here you do get a view but road noise and early delivery of goods to the hotel can make it a little noisy. All in all well worth a visit.

Room Tip: If you can just view your room before you accept it.

We have just returned from a week in the Kaltschmid Hotel Seefeld, and I cannot praise it highly enough. All of the staff we met were very hard working, frienldy and could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. We had a very comfortable junior suite, which was great for just relaxing whenever we returned from our travels, and this was kept to a very high standard in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The food was excellent and plentiful, with a good selection for dinner, and the lunch provided was also very good, and came as a surprise, as we had only booked half board. Another pleasant surprise was the provision of wine for our evening meals, and all in, this was not at all an expensive holiday. I must mention our waiter Lambert. His english was terrific, but even better was his sense of humour. He had us laughing every evening, and I don't think I have ever seen any member of hotel staff work so hard, and be so cheerful and attentive. Thank you Lambert, and I do hope you will be there when we return again.
Seefelt itself was beautiful, and we were so lucky to arrive in the middle of a music festival, so we had at least one concert each day/evening. The weather was a bit unkind, as it was rainy for much of the week, however, this did not spoil our fun at all. We were meeting with 2 dear friends there, and managed to dodge the showers whilst we admired the beautiful scenery and took some lovely long walks. It was truly a holiday to remember, and we cannot wait to return. Thank you Kaltschmid for a truly 5 star holiday.

Room Tip: The junior suites are well worth the small surcharge if you want a bit more space and comfort.

What a great week we have just had in Seefeld. The Kaltschmidt is a great base. Most friendly staff and great food. Georg in the restaurant was very friendly and I think he was quite amused at my efforts at German. We opted for the small room. Very clean and quiet. Would probably opt for larger room next time. The Tyrolean night in the hotel was great fun, also it it free to residents, but you have to book. The hotel is very well situated and really convenient for everything. Will definitely be going back in the future.

Room Tip: Opt for a larger room with balcony and you should get great views of the magnificent scenery.

We have just completed 10 days in Seefled in the Hotel Kaltschmid on half board. Our room had a balcony so we sat overlooking the mountains with the sun each morning. A great location to walk and soak up the Seefeld atmosphere. the hotel is well equipped and the staff are very friendly and don't mind speaking to us in English.

The food is great a with enough to eat at every meal time, the evening meal is served by a waiter. the hotel is large with a swimming pool that we used. we didnt use the saunas etc.our choice. the rooms are kept really clean every day as is the hotel and the town. The Tirol is a great place to holiday and I would recommend this hotel.

Fantastic week at this hotel. Area outstanding with mountain views all around that are breathtaking. 5 mins easy walk to nearest slopes and lift. Food brilliant, varied and very high quality in content and presentation. Service friendly and majority spoke very good English. Even if not skiing there's plenty of local shops or a nice spa to keep you occupies. Would recommend highly.

Room Tip: Front of hotel has better views

This family run hotel is conveniently placed right in the centre of Seefeld, it has something for every one, even dancing in the afternoon, the food is good varied and plentiful and includes a free drink with your evening meal, the service at this hotel is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful, unfortunately I broke a wrist skiing, but our waitress Enci, couldnt do enough she made up a tray of food for me which my husband brought to our room, our room wasnt cleaned for a couple of days but that was our choice, we did struggle a little with the shower and always managed to soak the floor, there seemed to be a gap between the shower cubicle and the bath, our room was very large and very warm, infact the whole hotel is warm so you will need only light clothes, The spa area gets quite busy in the evening, my husband was quite concerned that small children were entering the nude sauna, and also getting into the hot tub wearing armbands, I think this promblem lies more with the parents than the hotel!! Train trips are worth a try the service is prompt and cheap, we ventured into Germany and Innsbruck which I strongly recommend, also there are huskie rides in nearby Scharnitz, The walks around seefeld are stunning, the weather was clear and sunny during our stay, perfect!! Will we return to the Kaltschmid? definately this was our second trip we love it, Thank you for a lovely stay

Room Tip: We were in room 365 ont the third floor, from our balcony we could see all the slopes,

Just back from a week at the Kaltschmid in Seefeld. Wasn't really keen on a ski holiday but very pleasantly suprised. Fantastic resort and fantastic hotel. Had a family suite which was very large and very warm. Free usable internet anywhere in the hotel up to 2 hours. Food was outstanding and varied and was based on a daily set menu giving you a choice of 4 starters, mains and desserts with a help yourself salad bar with numerous breads and cheeses. The cakes were to die for. The food was fantastically presented and included guinea fowl, venison and red snapper. The vegetarian options were good as well. Children had their own buffet daily. Drinks were free and plentiful with your evening meal so you can have red/white wine or beer and keep asking for more. The service was good and professional. The spa was very nice especially the rooftop hot tub with mountain views all around. There is a naked area seperate with sauna and steam rooms. Looking around, this was one of the best hotels for quality and location in the area and very near the ski slopes. Highly recommended to anyone thinking of going. I'm certaintly looking forward to going back next year.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed good but reception happy to help if you need to change
