We only stayed at this family run spa hotel for 1 night at the end of July but we’ll be back. During our stay we met three generations of the family and were made most welcome by all.

Fortunately we arrived in time for coffee and cakes. These were served every afternoon in the main bar area – nicely presented and very tasty too.

On arrival we had been asked to select our choices from the menu and the meal we selected was first rate. In addition to the cooked dishes there was an excellent salad bar and cheeseboard. There was a good selection of reasonably priced wines too. Breakfast was buffet style and again was well presented and of a very high quality.

Our large and attractive room was located in a house adjacent to the main hotel building. The hotel has a pool/spa area with a good sized pool (about 15m I think). Whilst the pool area was fairly busy we were able to swim lengths without annoying other pool users. There is lots of easily accessible walking nearby too.

Overall a wonderful place to stay; next time it’ll be for more than one night.

This family run hotel was superb. The quality and presentation of the food could not be bettered, and the fact that it was served by the staff in national dress made it very special.
The swimming pool and gym were an added bonus in this hotel. The train station was close by where you could travel to Innsbruck or Mittenwald in Germany both within 45 mins
away. But if you only wanted to stay local there is a beautiful lake to walk round and of course there are chair lifts and a cable car near by. You will not regret staying at the Park Hotel.

We stayed at the four-star Parkhotel Seefeld for a week late in May, 2011 and enjoyed it, and the small town of Seefeld, a great deal. We booked a half-board deal and got a nice discount (stay 7, pay for 6) as a promotion for the opening week of the Summer season.

The hotel is located about a five minute walk from the Seefeld railway station and the town. Even though it is directly across the road from the main Innsbruck-Munich railway line, there was no hint of train noise anywhere in the hotel.

We had a superior room, which was in the newest accommodation addition at the back of the main hotel building, and was thus in absolutely spotless condition throughout. The room was large, light and bright, with a good-sized balcony overlooking a large field to the rear of the hotel. Behind the field, there was a nice view to the mountains, which still had a dusting of snow on them for the first few days we were there.

There was plenty of storage space in the room for both clothing and luggage, which was excellent for us as we were planning to be on the road in Europe for 5 weeks. We also had a sofa and a desk, and a flat-screen TV set with a cable feed featuring about 3,000 channels (OK, so maybe it was closer to 100) with a good selection of English-language options (this pleased Ms Crooksmeister, who is a news addict), and an amazing array of other channels ranging from the narrow niche (the GOD channel) to the bizarre (try watching Saudi TV for 5 minutes or so and you’ll see what I mean).

The bathroom was excellent, done out in black marble tiles and, like the bedroom, it was extra spacious. There was a large shower stall that sprayed great volumes of very hot water without getting it all over the floor. The towelling was good quality, and there was a decent selection of toiletries available.

The public rooms of the hotel were very good, ranging from a small bar outside the dining room to a large lounge and a spacious lobby area. Free tea/coffee and cake were served in the lounge each afternoon. There was also a large outdoor terrace that seemed to get the sun all day and had lots of comfortable seating options. The surrounding gardens were in magnificent shape. About the only complaint we could make was that there was no Internet terminal for guests, though there was free wifi if you had a laptop with you (we didn’t) and a decent Internet café near the station.

The hotel also had a good-looking pool and wellness centre in the basement, with a sun-lounge area outside it. We had a look but didn’t use it – we generally don’t do wellness centres.

The dining room, which was where both breakfast and dinner were served, was large and comfortable, and seemed to be built to cater for many more guests than were in the hotel when we were there – this may have been due to the fact that the Summer season had just started. In fact we were the first guests at the hotel when they re-opened after their end-of-winter break. Because of this, we expected that maybe there would be some service glitches in the dining room but there weren’t – in fact the service at both meal times was impeccable.

Breakfast was by way of a cold buffet with a good selection of just about everything your heart might desire, and the coffee was eminently drinkable – a bit unusual in some parts of Europe, we find.

The evening meal was of a very high standard – a large antipasto buffet, then a selection of two starters, two main courses and a dessert. One night, we had a buffet of typical food from the Tyrol region – this was excellent and a contributor to your reviewer’s gaining lots of weight during our vacation! The wine list was good and reasonably priced, something of a novelty in these parts we’ve found.

We were in Seefeld on a walking holiday, and we weren’t disappointed with the options we found there. In fact, if you walked for a month you probably wouldn’t cover all the possibilities. These range from mountain walks (to us the walk down from the Seefelder Joch was a highlight for the views of the town) to walks along the valley and over the low hills into adjoining valleys – the area is highly recommended for walkers like us – nothing too dangerous or strenuous, but nothing too boring either. And if you don’t do anything else while you’re there, take the train down to Innsbruck for the day. The views are fabulous and the railway engineering quite extraordinary. Innsbruck didn’t thrill us too much but the train trip made the day well worthwhile.

As for the town of Seefeld – it really is most agreeable, with a good range of shops of every kind, and some good-looking eating options (which we didn’t need). There’s an excellent laundry around 100 yards from Parkhotel (Tip Top, right at the railway crossing) that will return washing on the same day.

Finally, no review of the Parkhotel would be complete without a mention of the people who run, and work in, it. Everything about the staff, and the three families that own and run the place, was about as perfect as things get in the service industries. We can’t recommend the place too highly.

Room Tip: Get a superior room in the new wing - its well worth the small extra charge

Well run family hotel which is very friendly and well run and with excellent food and first class service. Best of four 4 star hotels I have stayed in for winter sports holidays in Seefeld. Large well equipped bedroom and bathroom and at the most competitive price. Very short walk to main ski bus stops, ski school (which is first class) and village centre (which has plenty of shops and restaurants). Nice indoor pool and leisure facilities. Although my 3 year granddaughter was free she was well looked after and offered the full evening meal or a child alternative. Seefeld itself is pretty and very much a family resort with no yobs and no "hoorah henry's". Something for all the family.

We stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. We had two rooms - one in the main building and one in the annex and both were comfortable and clean. Great decor and a beautiful garden - unfortunately the weather was bad so we couldn't take advantage of the outdoors. We were served an amazing 5 course "gala " dinner which was both delicious and beautifully presented.
