Should have stayed another night. Clean comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Owner spoke good english. We stayed after spending a day shopping in Innsbruck and then had lovely wander through the main shopping centre Seefeld which has some really good restraunts very resonably priced. Hotel has a lift so easy to get bags upstairs.

This was our seventh summer to Austria - managed to get a deal with Inghams via Last Minute - £269 for 7 nights B&B, including flights from Birmingham, all transfers etc.

HOTEL / ROOM
The hotel was in a really good location, within easy walking distances of the main restaurants and bars. Typical Austrian décor etc, in parts a little dated, but very clean – our room by the road did not have a balcony and was a little noisy, although not a major issue. Had the usual facilities - hairdryer, flat screen TV etc.

FOOD
Breakfast consisted of various bread, hams, cheeses, boiled eggs, jam, honey, cereals, yoghurt etc and seemed to be plentiful and readily replenished.
HOTEL FACILITES
The hotel had a sauna etc which we didn’t use, so can’t comment.
OUT & ABOUT
The resort was bigger than we expected, but this was a positive. A couple of decent sized super markets and a number of restaurants which served to a reasonable time (we usually ate around 9ish, which can be difficult in some resorts!). We ate at Il Sole and Kaltschmid and would recommend both.
The transfer time to the airport was only ½ hour which was superb – collected at 9am for our 11am flight!
Walking wise we were pleasantly surprised, there was plenty of challenging walks to keep us occupied for the week.
Overall, an excellent holiday at a great value price - the price reflecting the rating, staff were friendly, resort was lovely and would return!

Room Tip: ask for a balcony

Spent 5 nights here while on a sking trip. Rooms were spacious and well maintained the couple who run the hotel were extremely couteous and helpful and spoke pretty good English. Generous continental style breakfast. Excellent proximity to ski hire shop and hotel has heated boot room and storage for skis. Very close bus stop for the free bus service to Geschwandkopf and Rosshutte. Short walk to shops and restaurants.

Staying at the Klausnerhof was like visiting family. Perfectly situated on the edge of the village which was full of restaurants and shops, no need to taxi anywhere. Picturesque town centre with a church, horse sleighs and bratwurst stands, it looked like Christmas in March with all the lights on the trees and so much snow. Seefeld itself is best suited to families and beginners. The hotel owners of the Klausnerhof were so friendly and extremely helpful. If they didnt know the answers to your questions, they found them out and got back to you. The rooms varied in size, mostly descent and some pretty big. They were all clean and very warm, perfectly ideal, there are lots of hangers in the wardrobe, plenty of sockets for all your needs, a tv, a hairdryer and soft towels, the only thing missing was a kettle so take your own. The breakfasts were tasty and the management just couldnt do enough for you, it really was like visit an aunt and uncle the way they looked after you. The wellbeing room on the 4th floor was so welcoming. After a tough ski there is nothing better than relaxing in the sauna or whirlpool all within the hotel, so easy to get to when your legs are not working at the end of a days ski. The view from the balconys of rooms 4 and 11 were great, chalets on mountain edges, evergreens and slopes, it was the Austria I was looking for. Top notch place and so cheap, i do not hesitate in recommending this hotel, oh and the italian restaurant next door is fabulous, the Trattoria IL SOLE pizzeria, you have got to try the chichken tag, it is soooo good.
