“Amazing - Provence at its finest”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

This place is beautiful! We stayed for 2 nights in March - unfortunately the hotel had just reopened after the winter season which meant the restaurant wasn't open (unfortunately we weren't told this when we booked via Mr&Mrs Smith). However, on the plus side as it was the first weekend back open we had the whole place to ourselves which was a treat! The building itself is gorgeous - meticulously renovated and understated French provincial. As though we were staying in our own country villa!
Our room was beautiful with a big terrace. The weather was a bit wet and cold so we didn't get to see the gardens in their glory but we would definitely consider coming back again one day in summer as the whole property is gorgeous. We would also love to try the restaurant which grows most of its own produce!
Regardless, we enjoyed some cosy nights in the main lounge area sitting next to the fire reading and nibbling on cheese, bread and wine. Divine!

it couldn't be much more perfect than this...movie-set pretty property with great open pavilion restaurant and lovely pool area that never feels crowded even when all the lounges are full. thick walls in rooms make it feel very private and you are just down the road from authentic, chic, untouristy eygalieres (our favorite market day was there). we had a loft room that comfortably accommodated our two sons and us. great spot for many easy day trips, when can I go back?!

We got married at Le Mas de la Rose in 2006 (see earlier review) and still dream of Le Mas (as do all of our friends). So we went back for our anniversary last fall and did the trip again as if we had eloped just to see which version we preferred. Everything was even better than before - Fabienne and Caroline were still utterly charming and Franck, the new concierge, is just lovely. The rooms are as beautiful as ever, but the grounds and the new restaurant are even better than ever. There is a glorious organic kitchen garden and Franck spent a lot of time talking about all of the work that went into it. We also met the new chef, who is just as amazing - if not moreso - than the prior chef. We ate dinner a couple of nights and Franck arranged for a nice table and lovely meal for our anniversary, where we even donned our original wedding attire and had an incredibly romantic dinner and much congratulations. The food is just impeccable - beautifully presented, delicious, and fun. Cocktails were delivered wherever and whenever we wanted one. The vineyard next door has even better wines (and give guests a discount) than they did in 2006 and Eygalieres still remains perfectly located but just enough off the beaten path to keep it from being overrun with tourists. We biked about the area (our sole wish is for new bicycles), played petanque, enjoyed the new patio furniture around the pool, and soaked in the gorgeous Provencal sunshine. I cannot recommend Le Mas and its perfect owners and staff more highly - it's heaven on earth. In the end, we loved our pretend elopement almost as much as we loved our wedding, but were so glad to have shared such an important occasion with friends and family in such a gorgeous place. We will keep coming back - and so should you!

We had a pleasure to get married in Mas de la Rose this september and it was a dream come true, this place is simply gorgeous and magic! The owner Madame Huppert is very professional and helpful, the stuff is very friendly, swimming pool is just a dream come true and rooms are very tasteful. We couldn't dream about better or more magical place to get married, everything was simply perfect and would not change a thing.
Having a second day after the wedding with delicious brunch and the day around the pool was a perfect touch for our guests that had traveled from far away to be there for us. We will surely come back there next year to celebrate our first anniversary as this place is very romantic :)

Room Tip: We stayed in room number 4 and it was probably most romantic room in Mas de la Rose :)

We visited Mas De La Rose last summer and loved it so much we decided to visit again this year, staying for 5 days. |You can tell from the outset that the owner cares and is proud of her hotel and she really has worked on making it feel like a home from home for guests. Beautiful Provencal chic interiors. Michael who helps around the hotel took our bags with an enthusiastic smile and showed us to a lovely spacious room on the first floor overlooking the pool and garden area. The gardens at Mas are beautifully tended and the kitchen garden which supplies produce for the restaurant is stunning. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner and Fraunk the manager is always hospitable and cheerful. The best feature about Mas is the pool area as the pool is a very natural design and shape and blends in beautifully with the surrounding garden. There are several loungers and umbrellas dotted around and the pool terrace area is so big that you can space yourself away from others (if you wish) and feel really peaceful. Breakfast is extra and very nice - continental pastries, cheeses, fruits, cereals and eggs. In the evening you can sit on the patio area next to the house and enjoy drinks from the honesty bar. We borrowed the hotel bikes one day and cycled into the local town Eygaliere which is beautiful and not an exhaustive ride. Do this on a Friday when the market is there. A lovely return to an excellent hotel. My only gripe (minimal) is that the wifi can only be accessed in the main house and immediately around it. You cannot get it down at the pool area. This didn't detract from our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor as some of the ground floor rooms - despite having littl patios ar...

A beautiful location in the middle of the Provençal countryside, with wide and unspoiled views from the rooms, restaurant and terraces. A warm welcome and classy and artistic rooms, efficient air conditioning, wifi, comfortable beds and attentive hoteliers. A rare combination of a large house party, small hotel, individual attention but within a small group of people. Everyone seemed (to us at least) to be similar; there for a relaxing time, enjoying the beautiful pool, eating delicious food, but not taking over.

So we'd welcome returning for more wonderful days of just true unwinding.

The location is superb. After a small path through pine woods you arrive at the beautiful Mas. You are surrounded by beautiful gardens and nature as far as your eyes can see. This calmness and peacefulness is very special. The interior is very tastefully decorated in a chic and laid-back Provence style. The beds are very comfortable. Each room is unique and beautiful in its own way, some even have their own terrace. The food is delicious and the restaurant is beautifully set in a small building next door.
The owner Mme Huppert is very nice and helpful and constantly making sure that everything runs smoothly. Also, we would like to specifically name Michel and Franck who are both very kind and helpful too.

It has been un unforgettable stay and for sure we will be back next year!
