We have spent twelve days in one of Kripia's stone houses, which sits at the end of a quiet lane, just above the sea at the foot of the mountains and at a welcome but easy distance to the town of Kardamili. Kripia is a jewel. The swimming is gorgeous, the town of Kardamili a real gem. The landlady, Antonia, is warm, generous and hospitable, above and beyond any call of duty. The house and grounds have been lovingly and thoughtfully designed, and are beautifully cared for. We stumbled upon Kripia on the Kardamili web site, and feel very fortunate to have chosen what seems the best place in town.

I was with my family for 10 days at Kripia houses this August and we had really great holidays there. The position is perfect, close to the village, but in completely peacefull surrounding, with great nature, seaview, very nice beach just few minutes away by car, or 10 min by foot. The service was excellent, Andonia, the owner, really did her best to make us feel like we are at our home. She was helpfull, kind, giving us tips and advices where to go and what to see and do around, we felt like she is our friend we know for a long time...The house is really beautifull, made of stone, comfortable and spacious, with 2 terraces and garden around...It was really rellaxing, exactly what we needed.Hopefully we'll go there again

Lovely kripia houses! We (husband, two years old kid and me) were there last year and went back again this summer. This was the first time we choose twice the same place to spend our summer holiday. And we're waiting forward going there for the third time!
Thanks to antonia for her hospitality and constant attention.
Michela.

My husband and arrived at Kripia on the first of March and stayed there until the end of May. The little stone house exceeded our expectations and we were really sad to leave. The views were more stunning and the property was bigger than expected and well laid out.
There were two living areas at right angles to each other, one of which contained a small kitchen / dining area and TV and both of which contained a sofa bed. There was also a bathroom (with small bath) and a large bedroom with ample storage space. This had a most comfortable bed with Coco-mat pillows.
Antonia, the owner organised internet access for us.
Outside there were two terraces, both with great views and shelter from the weather. Even though it was cold in March we always had our breakfast outside, looking at view.
There was also an area behind the house for hanging out clothes.
It was very peaceful and quiet- the only noise being birdsong and the occasional donkey braying. A ten minute walk brought you to the beach ( pebbles) with clean beautiful sea.
In Spring there were many wild flowers and there were many lovely walks into and around Kardamili.
At Easter our son and five year old grandson came to visit. The sofa bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of safe outside space in which to play. There was virtually no traffic. ( Kripia is right at the end of the track) It was great weather for walking and it was possible to swim without freezing.
The house is big enough for 3 couples, or a family with up to 4 children. Kripia as a whole, would be an ideal choice for several families/couples who would like to be together but still have their privacy and peace and quiet. In summer one could just go to the beach and enjoy Kardamili or you could use it for a base to explore the whole area.

The owners Antonia and Tasos could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had an amazing 3 months.

These four small stone house of Kripia are a real tresure. At least they were my idea of a perfect place to stay in the summer. The house we stayed was quiet, clean, surounded by a very nice scenery. It was close to the sea and the village without having to deal with the noise and commotion of the other tourists. I went there with two friends and we all had our own space. There were two wonderful verandas each one had shade at different time of the day. So breakfast in one and afternoon coffee in the other. And why bother going out in the evening since a good wine and a few meze we prepared in the fully equiped kitchen was the best choice. Eating in the veranda under the stars away from the madding crowd was a real treat.

Having visited the Kripia Houses in the past, I couldn't believe my eyes reading the review by the title: “De slechtste ervaring van mijn leven”, Reviewed July 18, 2011.
Its content makes you think it refers to some other accommodation, somewhere in the Third World.
Knowing the big effort people like the owners of Kripia do in order to keep such a tourist establishment in Greece, I feel the need to come to their defence.
The specific review, apart from the unbelievable accusations it contains (for instance, that they were beaten by the owners!!), it also couldn't be farther from the truth: it says that the houses are far from the beach, while it takes less than 10 minutes to reach it on foot.
As a Greek, I feel extremely angry for this other Greek who wrote the review, undermining the big effort this couple at Kripia make all these years.
Fortunately this is only one unacceptable review in the long list of favourable ones written for Kripia.
