I love Hotel Perivoli! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in early June 2012 and as I write this review I wish we were still there. I picked this hotel based on its positive reviews and was not disappointed. This hotel is nothing short of spectacular, high quality from the spacious rooms and modern bathroom to the amazing swimming pool and view, and the friendly staff. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone going to the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful, giving directions and willing to answer questions. One of the mornings my husband and I had to leave before breakfast and the staff filled two huge bins full of fruit, breaks, cakes, and snacks for us to take with us. On checkout day, they let us stay until 3 pm so we could get more pool time at no extra charge (even though this meant cleaning a bathroom twice). We stayed up several nights talking life and politics with Alex, one of the owners. It is very quiet, no need for ear plugs at all (and I am a light sleeper!). There is also a full bar and restaurant of excellent quality, so there's no need to go out for any meals if you don't want to. I would schedule at least one day or a few partial days just to relax by the pool and take in the atmosphere. All of this for much less than 100 Euros a night (would easily be triple the price in the US). You won't regret staying here!

A note on the location . . . The first time we arrived at the hotel, I thought the location was terrible, but it turned out to be great. It is just tricky to find the first time, but there are signs posted from the main road that you can follow. The hotel is 20 minutes driving from Nafplio, 30 minutes from the ruins at Mycenae, and 30 minutes from the ruins at Epidivaros. In other words, right in the middle of the three major attractions in the area. The hotel is located in the middle of an orange grove on a high hill with a view of the bay.

Room Tip: There are a total of 12 rooms at the hotel, 6 with walk-out pool access and 6 on the top level. The...

We absolutely loved this hotel and would like to return. We stayed for 2 nights in May and wished we could have stayed longer to relax there rather than just having time to see the great sites nearby. The hotel is incredibly clean...everything looks brand new. The hotel is also incredibly quiet so it is great for sleeping. It really does look just like the photos on the website.

The owners and the breakfast staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home. As previous posters have noted the views are fantastic as well. We were very happy to be close but not in Nafplion. The short road to the hotel from the main road is quite small but once you get there you will not regret your choice to stay here.

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Hotel Perivoli in late April, and wished we could have stayed longer! It’s about a 10 minute drive from Nafplio, and we were glad that we had chosen to stay in a more relaxing area away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The hotel is new, having been designed and built by the current owners only 2 ½ years ago. Each (very clean) room has a modern décor, a fireplace, and a view over the hillside of orange trees and olive groves. There is a large main lobby with a fireplace, a bar, and a large TV – great for relaxing. The pool is beautiful and very clean, although unfortunately it was too cool in April to try it out. The hotel is located up on a hill, but it is well marked with signs so that you can find your way. Both Alex and Vangelis are very welcoming hosts, and we enjoyed chatting with each of them (and watching soccer) throughout our stay.

They provided a very elaborate breakfast – ranging from simple cereal, bread, cheese and meat to some traditional Greek breakfast dishes (Strapatsada - eggs scrambled with tomatoes was my favorite). We also ate dinner at their restaurant one night – an excellent greek salad, aubergine salad, and spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. They offer one choice in the evening (Greeks eat a bigger meal at lunch, so there are more choices then). It was nice to be able to relax at the hotel! We also tried the two restaurants that Alex recommended in Nafplio: Noulis (lunch only) and Alalauda. Both were excellent.

All of the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. If we had more time, we would have definitely extended our stay at the Hotel Perivoli – and I hope that one day we have the chance to return!

We were looking for a place to stay as a base for 4 days before touring the Peloponnese and the reviews for the Perivoli were the main reasons for booking. So thanks everyone, pretty much everything that I read resulted in a perfect stay. Just 12 rooms in a fantastic hilltop spot , with orange and olive groves and hilltops giving way to distant mountains. Suberb views that reminded me of Tuscany. Just a couple of hours drive from Athens and short drive from Napflion.

Its a family run Hotel and the staff were just as friendy and professional as others have reported. I felt they were genuinely interested in their guests and doing whatever they could to help you enjoy your stay.

I did'nt get the room with grubby toothbrush holder (see previous review) and we thought everything was really clean and stylishly decorated. Over the four nights we stayed there was a mix of younger families, couples (straight and gay) , younger and older. A nice mix with a relaxed atmosphere.

I only eat breakfast on holiday so I am not the best judge but there was a choice of 3 cheeeses, 3 meats, eggs, cereals, locally cooked pastries and savouries, and preserves with 3 or 4 types of bread and a selection of fruit. I didn't eat again until the evening.

Its lovely base to take a trip trips out to beaches, mountains or historical sights before, returning for a late afternoon dip in the pool and early evening cocktail with a late dinner in Nafplion.

We were there during the election and it is sad that people are worrying about visiting Greece. Its like someone saying they are scared of visiting the lake district because their were riots in London. I somehow doubt that visitors to England would meet the same friendly welcome we had throughout Greeece if we had experienced the hardships and cuts they have already had to face.
Oh and by the way they have good comfy beds (the best we slept in over the trip).

We stayed two day in April. We found the hotel through TripAdvisor. We have stay two previous times in Nafplion in hotels in the center and found that the prices are high and the quality low. This time we wanted more comfort and we found it.
The rooms are really nice. Big and convenient. The hotel is just two years and everything is very fresh and modern. But it still have its own character. We had a room on the ground floor and had an nice litte terrace outside that was close to the swimmingpool area. It was a nice view over the landscape and from the swimming pool you could even see the sea.
The people working their was very friendly and help with whatever you wanted. The only drawback was that breakfast started at 8.30. We think that is far too late. When you visit Mykene you want to get their before the busses and the heat and they opend 8 o´clock. When we got their after breakfast we already met the busses and the heat started to bother us before we were finnished even in April. For our 83 year old father it was really tough.

We stayed there a couple of nights. Has a great view of Greek country side from the terrace. There is an inviting swimming pool, which seems to be well maintained. Friendly owners are willing to give you some advise on your trip if needed. They are very relaxed people, whom we were fond of. If there are any downsides, it would be its location especially if you will be eating out in Nafplion town. Although it is just 10 mins drive from town, we thought it would have been even nicer if we could walk back home and rest after a long day. Breakfast is good with limited selection. Would be better if there is rotation of the menu. After staying there for three nights, we didn't feel like eating exactly the same thing every morning. There is quite a nice view from the terrace where you have breakfast, but I thought noisy radio music constantly played at the hotel from early morning was getting in the way of nice quiet time. In terms of its cleanliness, it is relatively clean, but there was a dirty toothbrush stand, which never seemed to be cleaned. Also bath room floor was quite unclean and I wondered how often it was cleaned. Also, the lighting in the hotel is very dim and is not quite inviting. Having said all above, we quite enjoyed the stay and would recommend it if you are looking for a secluded place where you can just sit down and relax beside the swimming pool.
