“Large comfortable rooms / Great Breakfast / Avg Location”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Rooms (and bathrooms) are large and comfortable. They've got nice beds which makes a difference to your sleep quality. The pool area is very nice, and the July heat in Nafplio heightens the desire to take a swim. Nevertheless, the entire hotel interior is very comfortable.

The location leaves something to desire for. If you were dropped by a tour bus, it is a long walk back to town and the only option is to get a taxi called. Amalia staff overall is very nice and help you in every possible way.

Great breakfast: lots of choices and is definitely a very healthy start to your day.

The rooms wee very large with a big balcony facing the beautifully landscaped gardens and countryside. The pool was palatial and gorgeous, especially after a long day of touring. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were very surprised that it was so beautiful at this reasonably priced hotel.

Room Tip: All the rooms were great as reported by our fellow travellers.

With never been to Nafplio we as a family of 5 did not know what to expect. This city and hotel were ideal. The hotel was not in the center but was a perfect distance to drive. It was clean, meticulous, spacious, and welcoming. Being in Greece with 5 people in a family is not always easy.yet this hotel was VERY accommodating. The Family room was perfect and very comfortable. The pool area great and breakfast just what we needed. Would we return and would we recommend.YES!

This hotel has spacious, clean rooms. The pool is large and has plenty of lounge chairs. We walked around the grounds to see all the beautiful flowers growing there. The dinner buffet and the breakfast buffet are the best that I have ever experienced! Excellent food! Love this hotel!

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor do not have a patio/balcony so I would try to get a room on the first or t...

Large modern hotel with pretty lobby and sitting areas and veranda. We used the pool after a long hot day of touring Corinth and Theatre of Epidarus. The pool was large and heated to perfect temp for me with ample Chairs and chaise lounges. The hotel room was also very spacious and modern and clean. We had buffet dinner and breakfast in the downstairs dining room; both were excellent with a variety of choices.

We stayed for one night. You can tell that this hotel would have been on the grander side when it first opened in 1984. It was renovated in 2008 supposedly. The grounds are impressive and spaced out and the pool area ok, although the pool does need to be upgraded/modernised as the paint job isn't cutting it. There is also a green layer (I dare say mould) that sits around the edge of the pool that made it look pretty disgusting!

The beds are very comfortable but the linen too starchy. The air conditioning is horribly loud and needs to be updated. You can't leave it running all night due to the loudness of it.

We turned it off to get some sleep and opened the French doors with adjoining small balconette it had, and found there were wooden shutters there we could shut and get fresh air in instead... That's till the night club started around 130am on the adjoining property. This went till 7 in the morning and because the area is quiet around there the music was going all night. Management needs to address this as it does totally ruin the tranquility of the hotel.

The bathroom is an 80s design despite some modern tiling. It is very large and the space could be better utilised are my thoughts when next renovated.

There is nowhere to put wet swimming costumes so perhaps a pull out clothesline in the bathroom?

We paid 120 euro per night which included breakfast and was a superior room as it was on a higher floor. The building has two levels only. For 20 euro more I don't personally think its worth it at all. Breakfast was of average quality, nothing special to highlight.

The hotel is on the outskirts of the old town and an easy drive if you have a car and don't fancy staying in the old town or to leave your car at the port or bus station as you need to do if you stay there.

Some fine tuning and this hotel could be a brilliant boutique one! Despite the issues listed above, it was ok for one night.

We visited the hotel during winter but still had an excellent service at all times.
Rooms are big and comfortable, look clean but would need some renovation.
Meeting rooms and main facilities are renovated and offer good service at all times. Breakfast is good.
You need a car to visit Nafplio as it's a good 5 kms away.
They astonishing gardens will amaze the nature lovers.
