“Excellent place to stay!”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

Beautifully renovated building, spotless rooms with traditional furniture (with shower & a/c), friendly staff, excellent breakfast, 10' walk from the central bus station, 2' walk from the centre of the OldTown but extremely peaceful! I have stayed there two times, I chose a room with a balcony the second time ("Palamidis") and the extra money were definitely worth it!

Reviewed 21 June 2013

I recently spent two nights in this hotel and was satisfied. Nafplio is a lovely but above average expensive Greek town and hotel Kapodistrias was a good base to visit the city and the surrounding area. I arrived at midday and found the hotel quite easily (a short walk from the bus station). It sits in a side street (where it is a bit quieter) and is surrounded by bushes of pink bougainvillea. The lady who assisted me during the check-in was very kind and welcoming, she showed me my room and gave me the main info. My room was on the first floor, it was decorated with bright colors (mostly red) and was furnished with a wardrobe, a table with chair, a double bed, airco and fridge (maybe a tv too but I don’t remember). The bed was comfortable and the room, albeit not big, had enough space to move around without problems. There was no nightstand, but the windowsill is next to the bed and can be used for that purpose. The attached bathroom was functional but quite small and especially the shower was small and it was not super-easy to move in there. It served the purpose and I didn’t experience discomfort, but it might be a problem depending on the body-size. Both room and bathroom were very clean.
The breakfast, included in the room rate, was served in the restaurant area and it consisted of tea/coffee, milk, cereals, fruit, cold cuts, bread, jam and cakes and cookies. It was ok, some of the items like the cakes, weren’t super-fresh, but there was enough selection to choose from.
All the people who worked at the front desk during my stay were really friendly and helpful.
My experience at the Kapodistrias was positive and it is a perfect solution for people traveling on a budget.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is a few minutes walk from everywhere in Nafplio Old Town. The hotel staff put on a small breakfast buffet every morning and was very enthusiastic to help with questions and suggestions of things to do in the area. We found the room clean and charming; the decor of bright colors, balcony and open windows was traditional and beautiful. The hotel was very quiet too-we were told an entire wedding party was also staying but we didn't hear noise from any other rooms.

The location is fantastic- less than 2 min walk from the main street, and 5min walk from the seaside/promenade! The owner/staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our stay was really comfortable at the hotel.

I want to write a few words about this small, cosy, traditional boutique hotel in the historic city center. It is an old but very clean hotel, with elegant & traditional old decoration, homey feeling and warm atmoshere. The owners are very friendly and they are willing to help you as better as they can.Free internet access also included.Breakfast is a pleasant surprise...The quality was really good without any quantity limitations. My room named ''Kapodistrias''..it was big enough for a couple with a small balcony and an excellent view to Palamidi(the castle),part of the town and the small road next to the building...Also,it is very important, especially for travellers from abroad, that it is so close to city center with all these beautiful stores, coffee shops and taverns. So,I definitely recommend this hotel to all of you...

Kapodistrias is simply gorgeous. The room was small yet cosy and well decorated, with a wonderful view on the city from the balcony. Everything was clean, the hostess is lovely and welcoming, and most of all the breakfast is a definite feast! Mini pastries, sweet and savory bites, cheese, moradella, cheese greek pastries, bread, cake, fresh orange juice and coffee, home-made jams... Yum!! Will definitely come back :)

Very cute boutique hotel in the middle of the beautiful old town of Nafplio. Decently clean. Breakfast could be better, lots of frozen and (re)heated pastries, rolls etc. You have to climb up several stairs to get to your room, and the building itself is a labyrinth (several old buildings joint together I suppose). Our bathroom did not have a very good door, so you could not avoid some smells and noises in the bedroom... Otherwise, I loved it, very romantic. Could be a little cheaper.
