“A wonderful place with wonderful people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

The breakfasts were great, the rooms were spacious and individualized in a wonderful building. The location was as good as could be in the venetian city -- not so close to port or the platia to be noisy, but close enough to be a part of the action.

Just off the waterfront but still very much in the charming old town, Omorfi Poli was the perfect base for our three night stay in Nafplio. Architecturally, the place oozes history and, living up to its name, "Beautiful City", the place is an ornament to an already splendid town. This was easily the most lovely place we stayed during a four-week tour of Greece.

Accessibility might be an issue for some (steep stairs), especially to the top floor, but those who can trust their legs will be rewarded with great views and quiet rooms with high ceilings.

Service matches or exceeds the structure. The proprietor Ute was friendly, diligent, and impressively talented at English, German, and Greek. She helped us call a local archaeological site to get times, and successfully directed us to several local attractions and eateries.

Breakfasts were the best we had in Greece, with loads of fresh fruit (the best of the Argolid), bottomless filter coffee, and the usual Greek breakfast offerings (bread, cheese, meat).

Do yourself a favor and book it!

Room Tip: Most if not all of the rooms seemed very large. However, part of the bathroom of the Euterpe room i...

A pleasant, quiet little hotel on a narrow street in the old town of Nafplio. Very large rooms with lofts (could easily accommodate 4 or more). Very friendly, helpful and personal service. Within walking distance of the harbor, the archaeological museum, or pretty much anywhere else you'd want to go in town.

Located on a pedestrian street in the heart of Nafplio, with close parking via the port parking lots.
The owners were warm and helpful. They own both the pension and the restaurant on the street level.
The room was HUGE, what a nice change from feeling cramped in our Athens hotel room.
A word of caution...The hot water takes a while (a long while).

Stayed for 2 nights at the lovely town of Nafplio.
Had a very large room at Omorfi Poli very close to the town shopping centre and port.
Bed and shower were below average to other guesthouses in Greece and the breakfast doesn't include eggs. The parking is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel and as we came on a busy Sunday we parked about 15 minutes away.
Other than that, very nice staff and great location.

Safe place and what a cute town! It wasn't in our plan stay there but it was totally worth stopping by! Nice for shop souvenirs and chill out during the night in one of the many restaurants !

Arriving in Nafplion by car, we couldn't find the Hotel! We did not realize that Old Town is a group of tiny pedestrian-only streets, and that you just park and walk into them. A friendly waiter at an outdoor cafe clued us in and we quickly found the little Pension (as they are called on a tiny street over a Bistro. I believe they said it was built in 1878. I may have that date incorrect, but only by a few years! Upstairs our quaint old-style rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The views were down the side streets and we did have a small balcony. The newer windows also had ancient outside shutters that were fun to open and close. There were plenty of towels and some bottled water in the refrigerator. Everything worked just fine. The shower was a bit flimsy sided, but it worked well and there was plenty of hot water. I think you get the idea......it was a bit spartan, but it matched the adorable neighborhood and we enjoyed it. The breakfast offered free downstairs in the Bistro was large and tasty avery morning. The surrounding area offers loads of great restaurants, wonderful people, and abundant shopping. I would send my best friends there any day! Be sure to see all the sights around. epidaveros, Mycenea, and the three fortifications right in Nafplion.

Room Tip: Just look it up online. Their photos of the rooms show you just what you are getting. We liked the...
