“Perfect choice for perfect vacation!”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

It was the best vacation of my life! The family environment we experienced was unique! The staff was very kind and helpful. The room we had booked was better than the photos, very clear and convenient with wonderful furniture! And of course you must taste the breakfast! Really homemade pies, sweets, cakes and everything that only a mother can cook! A silent place in a picturesque neighborhood in the cite centre, within walking distance from the bus station and any place for visiting. It's really amazing and must visit guesthouse! Keep going and offering magic moments owners! Thank you for your Greek hospitality!

We reserved a double room for one night via email. Got a very cozy room in the Antico Hotel (not where reception was). We left the car in the public parking and had to walk about 200 ms, but the location was great. Though the room had 3 windows to the street, it was very quiet. There is no breakfast, but coffee, tea, crackers, butter and jam in the room. Just enough for us. The only minus I found was the bed, just too small.
Evangelina, the manager was more than helpful and all the information we got from her helped us to have a wonderful stay. Thanks a lot!

We arrived a day earlier than expected (tired and exhausted) but were made to feel totally at ease, no trouble and welcomed. A restaurant is just outside and we ate within feet of our front door. There was too much breakfast (included)! Home cooked pastries, rolls, cakes which we packed for lunch as well. Made our own Hellenicafe on the little heater provided. Room is tastefully furnished in old style furniture. The owners were more than helpful, and enthusiastic in guiding us through the public transport system to visit the archeological sites in nearbye regions. It is very centrally located in the old town, and a very brief walk to the beach for swimming. For a very warm welcome, central location and too much breakfast :), very much recommended.

We walked in without having any reservation. The manager showed us two rooms and let us choose the one we preferred.
Friendly service. We were given a map and a lot of tourist information about the town.
Excellent location : in the heart of the historical center, but still in a quiet corner and within a stone's throw from a big public parking place.
The rooms, although small, are clean and nicely decorated.

Room Tip: Choose one of the two rooms with balcony and view on the church.

We had originally asked for the triple room when we booked online, and on arrival were given a choice of the triple (room 4 I think) or a double (room 2), both in the building over the reception. It turned out that the triple's only window opened onto the communal awning-covered terrace, so we opted for the double, which at least had a tiny balcony with a pleasant outlook onto the pedestrian street. It was quiet at night, so sleep was OK.
The website describes these rooms as 'cosy'. This is a euphemism - read tiny. We struggled to make space to open our two small bags, a situation made worse by the choice of furniture including an antique suit-stand, which just got in the way. Eventually we relegated the chair onto the communal terrace outside. There was nowhere to hang anything (except the suit-stand), and the balcony was so small that you had to move the chairs in order to open the shutters.
The bed was hard.
The bathroom floor got soaked by the shower curtain (normal in inexpensive hotels), and also when using the sink. There was a used towel in the bathroom when we arrived.
Yes, the reception and garden stink. Fortunately not the rooms.
Having read previous reviews we weren't expecting a great breakfast. There was jam and 'butter' in the fridge, and a few sachets of tea/coffee/milk/sugar. When I asked about bread, the older gentleman who showed us in said 'No bread. Rusks.' There were no rusks either. To heat water there was a miniature electric ring, and a miniature coffee pan, big enough for one cup. Now I know that at the price we paid we shouldn't expect too much, but it would be nice to receive at least what was promised.
Before we left we also saw one of the rooms in the neo-classical building next door. This was quite different, spacious, nicely furnished, decent bathroom with a shower screen, even rusks! But no balcony.
We only met the young proprietoress on out last evening, when she passed on a message to us from a friend and was very pleasant.

Room Tip: Go for one of the rooms in the neo-classical building. The ones over the reception are tiny, and o...

Tricky to get to as it is the old part of town that looks like you can't drive into, but you can with a small car. The lobby was in building, the room around the corner on another street - kind of fun! We had a large room, included coffee but no breakfast. From the other reviews, just be sure to see the room first - we were very happy with ours.
