My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Everything about the hotel is great, We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the room was just fantastic. The food was delicious and varied and the location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the surrounding area
I would like to thank all the staff for making our short so pleasant.

We stayed overnight at Horse & Jockey Hotel and found the hotel clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, staff friendly & efficient, lovely room, breakfast very nice. I would definitely return and would recommend it. .

Room Tip: As its located off the Motorway there was no heavy traffic to keep me awake.

I wish I had known how isolated this hotel was before I booked it. There is literally nothing beside it. Rooms were very average but fine. The lobby area, particularly near the spa and pool area were a bit unkempt looking, tables with dirty cups and plates sitting on them all day. I wouldn't stay here again.

We frequently break our journey here when travelling between West Cork and Dublin. We would highly recommend it as an interesting place for tourists to visit as it combines an attractive mix of old traditional Ireland and the new. The pub is the traditional part with its charming horse racing theme and country style interior which I imagine has changed little over the generations. The food served there ranges from snacks to tasty full meals. The Silver Hill duck with braised red cabbage is delicious. The more modern hotel and spa which is a continuous part of the same establishment also has a restaurant with the same menu and super comfortable lounges where you can enjoy great tea or coffee, sandwiches or freshly home baked cakes during the day. There is also a tasteful and well stocked gift shop for attractive yet not overly expensive items for the home or special person.

we stayed here for one night in a beautiful superior room. on entering the hotel we were met by a lovely receptionist who was frindly and helpful. we checked into our room which as clean, spacious and so comfortable.we ate at the bar and the food wa excellent. the staff in the bar were extremely efficient and attetive and my husband could not stop commenting on how good the guiness was. the swimming pool and facilities were great, breakfast was buffef breakfast and the food was amazing.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. i was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. unfortunately we were not able to spend as much time as we liked at the hotel a we stayed there as we had to attend a funeral. however I am going to booka weekend away for my family soon and enjoy the facilities this wonderful hotel has to offer.
The staff are a credit to the hotel . Keep up the good work.

Stayed in this hotel on 30th and 31st July 2013 and it was a truly great experience. Room was really big for a standard double, very modern and clean. Usual facilities in the room but an added little touch of 2 bottled of water, one still one sparkling. Food in the hotel was excellent and we ate in the hotel both nights. We both availed of the leisure facilities which was of a high standard. I did make use of the Spa which again couldn't be faulted.

We recently stayed in this great hotel for a night after a party in the hotel. The staff were very attentive from checking in to checking out and wentout of ttheir way to ensure everything was in order during our stay.

It was also a great venue for the large party we attended. The food provided by the hotel was excellent and there was the use of an outdoor area to make the best of the good weather.

We had a few drinks in the hotel bar where again the staff were very accommodating.

The rooms were very clean and spacious (with a good selection of tv channels )

We would highly recommend this hotel for a short break or longer stay or for any celebration.
