“La Patronas festival”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

Great place and highly recommended. Great communication from Sandra and an even better welcome. Modern, bright, good size room and we had the smallest. Had a look at several other rooms and they were even better. Good breakfast. Brilliant location. Our small room overlooked the street that the pirates went past on the final day of the Patronas. What an experience! Thank you Sandra.

Excellent value. Really good air con. Had a room on 2nd floor with a terrace overlooking the rooftops and mountains. Good bed. Clean bathroom. No reception at the hotel but staff come fast on ringing the bell. Had washing done very quickly. It's linked to a restaurant where you get a discount but we didn't rate this highly. There are better restaurants. Although the breakfasts adequate with fruits, cheese, cold meats, rolls and more. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff couldn't be more friendly. Wifi.

Room Tip: 2nd floor at back has terrace

Spent 7 nights in this great hotel recently.

Can only really echo what has been stated already. Great location, clean, well run hotel that represents superb value for money. Rooms are sparse but what is there is tastefully done. Breakfast is fine, fresh orange juice and lovely coffee the star.

Off the main square so likely quieter than hotel juma in peak season / festival time.

We were very glad we located ourselves in pollenca rather than the port, which is easily reached by a reliable regular bus during the day for trips to the beach.

As a quick tip which I have not found elsewhere- none of the coach transfers go to pollenca from the airport unless you arrange a private shuttle. Arrange it to a port hotel instead (e.g. hotel daina) next to the taxi rank and then get a bus or taxi to pollenca. By far the cheapest way if there are only 2 of you- and hassle either.

Anyways- superb hotel in a great location.

L'hostal was exactly what my husband and I wanted for our six night stay in Pollensa. It was a nice, small, quiet hotel located one block off the main plaza in the picturesque part of Pollensa. Rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean. The bathrooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was served at their sister hotel just a short block away. We loved sitting on the terrace outside the restaurant, having breakfast and watching the activity on the main plaza. Breakfast was hearty including various teas and coffee, fresh juice, fruit, eggs, ham, bacon, breads. The hotel staff was warm and helpful. Joanna recommended several beautiful hikes in the area which we enjoyed. Sandra was very attentive to our needs, especially when we needed to arrange for an early morning departure. She brought a "take out breakfast" to us. There is no designated parking but that is not a problem. We always found a parking space on the street within a few feet of the front door of the hotel. Suggestion: if you are renting a car, get the smallest car possible. Streets are very narrow. The mattresses on the beds are quite firm. I was grateful to have brought with me a foam pad that I put on top of the mattress. ( I roll up the foam pad and put it in a compression sack in my suitcase.)

We stayed here for one night and really like the place. It was excellent value for money.

This is the sister hotel of Hotel Juma, a historical hotel in the city center (like 20 meters away). The staff is shared between hotels and the Juma hotel has been around for over 100 years and still worked by the original family. Breakfast is served at the Juma and is fantastic, you can grab breakfast and eat at the tables outside on the main square.

It's a very small hotel so you will find it very quiet and with not too many people around. The room was spacious, excellent air conditioning and wifi signal. Location is fantastic as it's super close to the main square and all the attractions. Pollensa is a tiny town, but lovely.

Parking is no problem to find in the side streets before you get to the hotel.

The staff was super friendly and we got some excellent tips from them. They really know this area well.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the top floors

We love Pollenca but usually stay in the bay. This yer to save us on taxis to the better restaurants in the old town we looked here instead. We were familiar with the Juma and decided on L'Hostal as it seemed like it might be quieter rather than being in the square.

We had a late flight but Sandra was there to greet us and show us our room and even insisted that we completed the check in the following morning so we could have dinner. You get 10% at the Hotel Juma restaurant & bar (which is good) if you show your key. The room was clean and bright and modern in decoration. The safe required no deposit, there was air conditioning, the maid came every day and the towels were changed everyday. The breakfasts were a bit hit and miss and I am positive that the same plate of cheese was wheeled out everyday! I don't want an English breakfast but some nice pastries (they were better from the supermarket near the bus stop) and alpen would have made me happy. Fresh orange juice was lovely. The coffees are double shot as standard which I find too strong but my Spanish is not good enough to explain I only want one so it is my fault really!

Downstairs was a lounge area which was spotless and very modern with magazines and books and if there wasn't someone in the office and you couldn't be bothered to walk down to the Juma you could press a bell and someone would come down.

We hired bikes and they even provided a safe and secure place to store them which is good because you hear stories of bikes being stolen. We got our from Pro Cycle Hire but we didn't want anything fancy and the bikes we got were not well looked after and the man that owns it seemed a bit of a weirdo so I would probably do more research in the future. The shop in Pollenca was loads better but they were all out of bikes they were that busy!

I would definitely stay here or Hotel Juma again.
