As the others have said, nice clean apartments. At the time we went there were only a handfull of the rooms booked so we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, but i dont think it would get much busier in the hight of summer.

Just a short stroll to the beach/main square. Eating out was great though expensive approx 60-70 euro for a shared starter 2 mains and a bottle of wine, no bad meals at all though(which is highly unusual).

After dinner there was a fab little spanish pub on the square who poured the largest measure of sambucca. I acctually had to ask him to stop pouring (which is even more unusual being scottish). The spanish waiter was a laugh.

All in all a good break in a nice quiet resort without all the brittish drunken louts - would very much recommend this trip.

We stayed for 7 nights at the end of April. The apartment had a separate bedroom, a livingroom/kitchen and a spacious square balcony with table and four chairs. It is not a large block, with around three apartments on ground, first and second floor. Outside there is a small swimming pool with a fenced off children's pool, and lots of sunloungers. It is very quiet and peaceful, and just what we wanted.

The apartment was very well equipped: air conditioning (which we gave up on because we only managed to get warm air out); fridge with small freezer compartment inc ice cube tray; kettle; toaster; microwave or grill (don't know, didn't use); two rings; tv (don't know what channels - I don't go on hol to watch telly!); iron and ironing board; safe (I think 10 euros for a week plus 10 deposit, get key from Sis Pins Hotel reception); large airer for drying clothes.

The apartment could in theory sleep more than two, but I think it would have to be a child as the pull out mattress under the sofa does not look very comfortable for an adult.

The block is in a residential area called Siller, just past the ring road. The area is quiet, but it is just under 10 mins easy stroll down to the beach. There is a large supermarket on the ring road, but unfortunately it doesn't open till 9am, so don't bother popping out early for bread for breakfast. You will find other shops open earlier though if you go down into the town.

Also on the other side of the ring road you will find the Restaurant Siller. We went there on our last night, and the food was very good, Mallorcan specialities and all organic veg that they grow themselves (I had tumbet as a starter - Mallorcan ratatouille, and would recommend it, and my husband had the lamb with rosemary and honey, huge portion and lovely). It was £25 each for two courses, wine with coffee, and worth it for a special meal.

We went for two organised day walks with Richard Strutt (you will find his walks programme on www.mallorcanwalkingtours.puertopollesa.com. They were great, he arranges the transport and leads the walk, and it is lovely to get out into the countryside, with wonderful views of the mountains and sea. We have walked with him a few years and always enjoyed them.

The weather at the end of April was warm and sunny during the day, but cool at night. You need a jacket and socks and shoes on to keep warm if you are going out for a stroll. However the daytime temperatures were wonderful, especially after the long and awful winter we've just had. Recommended!

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely week' s stay at the Alexia Apartments. We found them spacious and very well looked after. The aprtments were cleaned every second day and fresh towels including dish towels were replaced. Although the Alexia's are a ten minuite walk from the center there is a large well stocked supermarket near by giving you more time to sun bathe by the lovely pool.
We booked this holiday with Globespan and found them most efficient.

The alexia apartments are located at the back of the resort, there are only 10? apartments in the block with a shared pool.
I travelled with my elderly father who is used to being in hotels on holiday, but he was delighted with the apartment and it's facilities. The caretaker comes every day and you can contact the staff of the Sis Pins if you have any problems. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor which looked directly onto the pool. We had everything we needed to cater for ourselves in the kitchen. Although we did eat out often.
There is a large Carrefour supermarket just on the other side of the main road, which is excellent for all your holiday needs from milk and bread to beer and sunscreen.
Walking to the main beach area takes about 10 minutes easy walking, Dad managed it and he is 76 and not in good health.
Puerto Pollensa is a beautiful resort and the people are so friendly.
The only thing that spoiled it for us was the typical British pubs which just rip you off. Take it from me, they are nothing special and the service aint great either. As they say "when in Rome" or this case Majorca, stick to the local bars and cafes, where the welcome is warm and the prices not inflated through the roof.
Puerto Pollensa is a good base for touring the island as well, if you have a hire car you are just over an hour from Palma. Get out and about using the local buses which are cheap and convenient or just relax on the beach, whatever you choose to do on holiday, the Alexia apartments are a great choice.
