Great location fantastic views, everything you need is at the house, very narrow access a Fiesta size car or smaller I s needed.
This casita is beautifully maintained to a very high standard. It has constant hot water, fluffy towels and comfortable bed plus a well equipped kitchen. The view over the valley of Soller from the terrace is fabulous. Angelines drove to meet up with us and led us to the house, and gave us a detailled map to help find our way around locally. We walked down into Soller and back on the first day, which was so enjoyable, even tho' the track to the casita is a little steep. Dawdling happily, it takes about half an hour to get to the market on foot. Port Soller and its sandy beach and Deia are within easy reach by car. One important note: do take the smallest possible rental car, as the track to the casita has narrow moments. We had a Citroen 5 door 4 seater hatchback which was really too big to negotiate the tight turn through the arch easily. Angelines gave us permission to park lower down for 2 late night returns. Apart from that, we would be only too delighted to recommend this as a 5***** . Angelines is a very helpful and thoughtful host. We were very happy.
A well equipped, clean, airy cottage in a peaceful location overlooking Soller. 10/15 mins walk to the town centre and lovely walks in the hills to the port or neighbouring villages. The last few yards up the drive are steep but worth the effort for the views and location. A nice 10m pool is available just below in Angelines grounds. There is a very efficient bus service around Majorca, a direct train to Palma (worth a visit) and a tram to the port and beaches so a car is not essential unless you have mobility issues in which case this may not be the place for you.
Soller is a great place to stay. Good restaurants, easily accessible from Palma. Great centre for walking. Totally unspoilt. Beautiful countryside and of course the mountains! S'Olivar is a lovely house. It is tastefully decorated and very well maintained. Angelines provides everything you need including a hairdryer. It is very comfortable and you look down over Soller and the mountains beyond from the terrace. An ideal way to have breakfast and start the day. There are plenty of places to eat and good supermarkets and delis with a 15 minute walk. Angelines is very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely go back
For a location so close to town the location felt very private and secluded with a countryside flavour. Fantastic views over Soller, easy to walk into town for shopping or to walk into the mountains or the beach from the doorstep. We didn't feel the need for a car at all. The villa was simply but tastefully furnished with everything we needed for our comfort and relaxation. Lovely sunny terrace and outside space for relaxation. Angelines was friendly and close by if needed but otherwise left us to our selves for the week. We had a fantastic week walking in the area, visiting Deia and walking back, taking the train to Bunyola, the tram back from Port Soller - just for the fun of it...and all on the doorstep of the villa. Most enjoyable :)
