After extensive research we decided to book hotel Salvia for a quiet week to relax and unwind. On arriving at the airport and seeing all the hen and stag party groups we thought we had made a terrible mistake however the revelers went one way and we went the other. We were met at the airport by the lovely Patrick in his straw hat, he whisked us away from the airport in his air-conditioned car and from that moment I was on holiday. I highly recommend asking Patrick to collect you his price is cheaper than the taxis and it saves struggling on the narrow streets with suitcases. The hotel is breathtaking, very central and lives up to and beyond my expectations its a beautiful spanish town house sympathetically renovated with antiques at every turn and one of the most stunning gardens to relax in. The pool in the garden was lovely for cooling off in and cleaned every day, the sun beds by the pool are plentiful and fresh sun bed towels are provided every day, food served at the hotel Salvia is delicious and fresh we attended both the Barbecue and tasting menu evenings and I would highly recommended both. The lunch menu at the Salvia is also very good and I particularly liked the salads which were lovely and light on a hot day. the breakfast for me was perfect a delicious fresh fruit salad good selection of cheeses , meats , yoghurts and cereals, you can have eggs and bacon as well but this is 4 euro extra and we never felt hungry enough to order it.
In the room on the first night we had a lovely complimentary bottle of Cava and I was very impressed with the tea and coffee facilities in the room. China cups are provided as well as 6 sorts of tea and three sorts of coffee to choose from, the hotel also provided a jug of real milk in the fridge every day to make your drinks.
Bathroom- had lots of free toiletries which were replenished every day, the hotel also provided me with a super fast hairdryer at my request
WI-Fi is free but reception by the pool in the garden can be a bit hit and miss
What is lovely about this hotel is the intimate service because we were one of 12 guests we felt really pampered and looked after more like visiting family friends than a hotel fantastic service.
Massage- Walking is very popular in Soller and we did attempt to walk to Fornalutx which in the high summer heat was quite a challenge, the day after this walk I booked a massage in the hotel it cost around £45 and was absolutely lovely and one of the best massages I have had.
One of the nicest meals outside the hotel was at the Kopitiam which did the most amazing spare ribs I have every had however go early as they do sell out quickly, meal for two here including drinks was about £60. Also in port de Soller our favorite was Es Passeig, if you go order the tenderloin and chocolate fondant dessert both dishes are outstanding, the meal with drinks was about £95. As we only went on holiday for a week we treated ourselves to some of the best restaurants but you can eat much more cheaply as well.
All in all it was a lovely holiday in a very pretty quaint Spanish town, if you want peace, quiet beautiful settings and great food then this is the place for you. I know that patrick Sasha and Ling never read these reviews but just in case thank you so much for making our holiday such a wonderful experience xx

We have just returned from two wonderful weeks at the Hotel Salvia and still can’t believe that we were lucky enough to find this little haven of tranquillity. We wanted a couple of weeks rest and relaxation in the sun and achieved this objective 100%. The Hotel is furnished to a very high standard and the garden is one of the prettiest imaginable. It was difficult to find fault with anything at the Hotel (we did try!) as everything worked beautifully, both in the rooms, the garden and around the pool. As other reviewers have mentioned, it had the feel of a private house party, and whilst we enjoyed the company of other guests we often had the garden and pool to ourselves. Patrick and Sacha are the most charming and attentive hosts and Ling (the chef) cooked delightful lunches for us, as well as offering an evening taster menu once a week, and a BBQ. (Don’t miss these, you won’t find much better food anywhere in Soller) It was just as well that dinner is only served occasionally, as otherwise we would not have left the Hotel at all. Several guests had just booked the Salvia for a few days , and were disappointed that they had to move on to other venues in Mallorca and leave this little gem behind. We can’t wait to return and it will always have very special memories for us. Thank you Team Salvia for a fabulous holiday.

Room Tip: Garden Suite was perfect for us - not too many steps!

We have been to some of the most beautiful hotels in the world but this little gem in the town of Soller in Mallorca is one of the most memorable.
Patrick,Sacha,Ling, Mercedes and Fiona could not have been more attentive in making our stay
comfortable and relaxing - Patrick even getting up at 4.30am to transport us to the airport for a
ridiculously early morning flight. After having been out all day the Salvia was a little haven to
return to with its lovely garden and sunny pool area.
If you enjoy a small, intimate, friendly hotel surrounded by antique furnishings this is the one for you

Room Tip: Tramuntana Suite has large bathroom and double wash hand basins

The other reviews already say it all, but this is the best hotel experience I have ever had! Hotel is cosy, service is very attentive and personal. Rooms are lovely and the food served is top class AND affordable. I already want to go back!
Management is knowledgable and give good tips for excursions and dining. The weekly BBQ is a must! Great location. 99/100 score.
Possible Improvement: breakfast could be a tad fancier to bring it up to par with the rest!

This is a very special hotel. It has a unique atmosphere which distinguishes from other establishments. We have just spent a week there and it was more like a very nice house party; in reality I think its the type of atmosphere Patrick, Sacha, Ling and the rest of the staff try to create. The rooms are beautiful, the common areas are in the character of a grand house without being dour, the gardens, pool and terrace, where we did most of the eating, are a lovely tranquil place and the food was excellent. Its difficult to do it justice in words alone but if it sounds like your bag - do it! Thanks to you guys (and our fellow guests - you know who your are!) for a very special experience. PS don't forget to let us know about C*****! T&P

Room Tip: They're all good!

We've just returned from a week in Hotel Salvia, in the small Mallorcan town of Soller. It's the fifth or sixth time we've stayed in Soller but first at Salvia, as we hadn't been able to get in before as it's so small and we always book stupidly late! This year we got our act together and booked early, and it's certainly the best hotel we've stayed at in Mallorca. The staff are so friendly and made everyone feel welcome, without feeling forced to join in if you wanted to do your own thing. There are only 6 rooms, all of which are furnished in an elegant Mallorcan style perfectly suited to the building. We were lucky with the weather and spent a couple of days around the good size pool, but with so much to do in Soller and the surrounding area it'd be fine even in colder or wetter weather. Patrick and Sacha run the hotel and were charm personified, making new guests and regulars all feel special. Breakfasts were fresh, ample and tasty, with the small touches such as Sacha's triangular toast worthy of the most upscale establishment. There is a new Chef, Ling, who has worked in some amazing restaurants around the world (ask her!) and we were very impressed with her tasting meal and bbq later in the week - so I think it could get even better! We can honestly say there was nothing bad or wrong with our week - whenever we needed advice or something extra the staff were very helpful, eg: Sacha tipped us off about the amazing Ca'n Prunera - a beautifully restored townhouse with modern art collection in Soller - which is relatively new, yet under-advertised and hard to find.

Overall then, Soller is a beautiful, friendly town where children still play in the square, their parents sit in the cafes and the oldies gossip nearby - what life should be like. And if you want to stay in the nicest place we know of there - then Hotel Salvia is for you.

We have just returned from Mallorca, having stayed at Hotel Salvia for 4 nights. This is such a charming hotel with beautiful rooms and gardens. The management were very friendly and helpful. Soller is an interesting small town with a quaint square with a lovely church. We did not have to drive far to visit lots of interesting places. The barbeque at the hotel was great fun with some fabulous food and the breakfasts were great too !
