It has everything you need for an excellent value. Balcony rooms to the sea have the best view and are very confortable. You can have breakfast almost by the water! It has a very nice terrace in the spa.

Room Tip: Higher floors should have better views and get less noise from the street. It is very worth getting...

My wife and I have just returned from our second trip to the Marina this year. Our first took place in March when the weather was a little on the wet side and our second, last week, in hot hot hot August. As you can probably tell by our return trip we like the Marina and it is our intention to visit again. It is, as many have said, a fairly simple hotel but it provides all the range of facilities one would expect and we found it well run and very clean. The staff are helpful, extremely friendly and most have an excellent command of english (puts us to shame). We stayed on a B&B basis and found the breakfast to be more than adequate. Those who have commented on the lack of an english breakfast could always visit many of the local restaurants offering similar fare. Our favourite is Cafe Soller which, unfortunately, is in the main town and thus is a tram ride away. But the breakfast, 3 eggs and ham (similar to english bacon) is superb and worth the trip. Our room at the Marina was quite spacious and had a fridge, TV, sink and crockery. We were at the rear of the hotel overlooking the pool so it could be a bit noisey when the children get going, generally in the afternoon. We, however, didn't spend much time in the room being more inclined to spend time around the port or taking a swim in the sea. We ate out every evening so can't comment on the hotel food but we had a regular snack lunch from the Marina bar menu which we again found more than adequate. On a slightly negative note it took a long time for our room to be available following our early morning arrival but we were given free drinks and a complimentary bottle of red wine as compensation. Later in the week we discovered our room had not been serviced but on reporting the matter it was attended to very promptly. Overall we like the Marina, its staff and its beautiful setting and are looking forward to our return next year.

Well i have read the reviews and i can only say is this the same Hotel we stayed in ? I would dearly love to say lots of positive things but other than location ,helpfulness of staff and bar prices i cannot say much more This is a very average Hotel and yes you get what you pay for i suppose and a bit of adbvice dont go for half baord the food is only just average (we had no choice it was a package) Little choice and school meals (spainsh style obviously) comes to mind .The rooms are sparse (althiough we belive sea view rooms are better ) and need up grading and bathrooms are small and water from the shower goes everywhere unless you use the towels provided which are the smallest and poorest quality bath towels i have every seen !!
So if you want a cheap holiday good location and not that bothered about the quaklity of food or the rooms then maybe this could be a good choice ?

Room Tip: on advice of orther travellers go for sea view rooms seem better but slightly more costly

We have spent our summer holiday in or around Port de Soller for the last 7 years and have got to know the place quite well. After three visits to Cas Sant (see reviews) we rented properties in Biniaraix and Port de Soller from the local estate agency Immobiliaria Mas and that might have happened again this year but for the owner of the bungalow that we had rented for the last two years taking a long time to confirm the booking.

We had seen a lot of the Marina from the outside and its location is perfect - right on the En Repic beach, which is our favourite, and close by to most of our favourite restaurants. I made the reservation directly with the hotel in January and we looked forward to our suite with sea view even more than usual during the unusually persistent rain of June and July at home.

We were welcomed by the friendly and helpful reception and although we arrived early we were immediately shown up to our fifth floor suite by a handyman who was just going up to do a minor repair. From the beginning to the end of our 15 night stay all of the hotel staff from reception to maids and bar and restaurant staff were without exception pleasant and very helpful.

The suite was everything that we had hoped for. Two apartment rooms made into one suite with a double balcony and a view right out over the bay from both living room and bedroom. Plenty of space in both rooms and a full bathroom with two washbasins and a high pressure shower above the bath. Beds are memory foam and comfortable and the single bed that came out from under the living room sofa was comfortable for our daughter's five night stay.Room controlled aircon which worked very well. Cleaning was efficient and friendly and usually done before lunch time.

We only used the pool area once as the morning we chose pool over beach was exceptionally hot. The sun is directly on the back of the hotel and pool and surrounding area in the morning. The pool is clean and there are plenty of sunbeds although it is fair to say that a few may be nearing the end of their life. Plenty of other guests did seem to be enjoying themselves though.

We ate out every night apart from once when we brought in pizzas from the nearby Sirocco Cafe, and we ate out most lunchtimes. My wife enjoyed the evening hotel buffet several times and it is good value for €14. I had some nice fish and seafood from the a la carte menu which is short but offered things that I like.

Some people have moaned about the breakfasts in other reviews. Personally I think that the breakfasts were fine - fruit, croissants and a selection of bread, nice yoghourt and scrambled eggs and local mini chorizo type sausages plus local cheeses, pate and cooked meats. Not particularly British, but 1) this is Spain and 2) the clientele is not particularly British either.

I hired a mountain bike for two weeks from Tramuntana Tours (in Soller and in Port de Soller) and there is a secure bike store room accessed by key from the reception.

We had a wonderful time at the Marina and will be back next year.

Room Tip: A splendid view out over the bay from the front of the hotel but th emountain view from the rear is...

We just stayed here for 5 nights in a studio room with three beds overlooking the pool and mountain.

I really dont have anything negative to say. For the price, this is a great value hotel. It is not 5 star or even 4 star but still for a family vacation I think it fits the bill.

Right on the promenade you cant beat the location and with the odd exception we found all the staff to be helpful and pleasant.

We have stayed at Hotel Marina, Soller for 2 weeks in July / August 2012.
The position of the hotel is fine.
The reception is working very bad and extremely low service.
The breakfast is poor - no choices and the same every day. Only bread, jam, cheese and 1 or 2 fruitselections.
The pool area is very worn and needs at make up. Bad and to few umbrellas. Very bad relaxing chairs and those also in bad condition.
The apartment was OK but the kitchen so small it was worthless. No cutlery, pans etc. Not possible to make your own food.
The room was noicy - traffic and a noisy family.
The beach is OK. Beachchairs 11 euro / day.
During our stay we could not use the beach for 5 days due to ploution and trash in the water. Water was very dirty and smelly.
During our departure we were promised a single room from 1200 - 1700 as we have small children who neded relaxation before our late flight back to Copenhagen. The room was not available at our check out although it was promised to us - the reason is not known although I had made clear we would naturally pay for the room. This made our day very long and very bad as our kids had no sleep.
Generally a bad vacation at a hotel with very low / no service. The hotel use no money on repairing the facility and it is very clear the hotel dont care about their guests but only to create money.....
We will not return to this hotel again and I can not recommend anyone to spend theit money here. It lousy, poor, trashy and has a aervicelevel which is very very low.

Room Tip: None - do not go to this hotel.

I had read some mixed reviews on Trip Advisor but having now stayed find many very harsh! The location is incredible, right on the promenade and next to the sandy beach on a fabulous little bay surrounded by mountains. The bay has loads of fish swimming very close to shore and is good for snorkeling over low rocks in what is a relatively shallow bay. Around the bay there are about 25 - 30 restaurants (visit Es Reco des Port at the far end of the bay for brilliant Paella mixta), a few bars and that's about it; no noisy discos and 'Brit-bars' pumping out music and Sky Sports all day.

The hotel itself is great with a small pool, about 20 sunbeds (although these rarely got full given the proximity of the beach) and a nice cafe and restaurant. The prices in the bar and restaurant were very reasonable, €6 for a jug of sangria and €2 for a coke with meals €20-30 per person for 3 courses. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming with the linguistic skills of the front desk staff - I heard English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch spoken fluently - making me deeply ashamed with my own very basic attempts at Spanish!

We stopped on a half board basis and, whilst choice was more limited than the main menu and it was a bit annoying that we were told we had to sit inside the restaurant, there was always plenty of food and something that we all wanted to eat along with great fresh salads. Breakfast had a wider choice, although no 'full English' which upset some Brits from comments I heard, of fruit, bread and cereals etc and again there was always plenty with no need to dash in early or everything would be gone; we simply wandered in when we wanted to.

There is a nice spa on the top floor and I would recommend going up there if only to see the fabulous view of the whole bay but also for a very relaxing massage as I did!

My only niggle was our rooms as these were over the staff entrance to the bar and steps from the hotel to the pool area so were a bit noisy. If you really want complete peace and quiet I wouldn't recommend rooms 201 and 202. However there is air con in the rooms and, even if not ideal, it did mean that we could simply shut the windows and remain cool enough.

Overall a fabulous time had by us in a great hotel in a fabulous resort and we will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Higher floors better and avoid 201 to 204 if you want complete peace and quiet. The best rooms are o...
