“Inital disappointment gave way to affection”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2012

We arrived at night and were dismayed that the room was so dated and the pendant shade was so low my husband kept hitting his head on it. However the next day revealed that the bathroom was nicely done and the shower powerful (always a good thing!). Breakfast was included and a very nice selection was provided in a nicely appointed room. The pool was lovely, overlooking the sea and the lovely tram that toot-tooted its way up and down the main drag a few times an hour. The hotel was not only within a stones throw of the beach but pretty centrally located on the strip - with lovely restaurants and bars on either side. The entertainment was a bit kitch - but I liked that - it was nice to come back to the hotel for a liqueur to find a bit of business going on and since it finished before 11pm it did not disturb us. There were cabaret-style singers two of the nights and a display of Mallorcan music and dance one night - we were actually disappointed to miss the acrobatic Bollywood dancing the day we checked out! There is a supermarket right outside (in the unit under the pool) which was handy for soft drinks etc and you could pick up a takeaway sandwich or pastry for lunch.

Just come back from a week in The Hotel Eden. The location of this hotel is superb, it is just across the road from the sea. I would recommend getting a room with a proper balcony over looking the sea and pool. We only had a very small balcony at the side of the hotel, wish this had been made clear to us.
I was rather annoyed that the guests were allowed to put their towels on the sunbeds and then go off for lunch or go shopping etc for long peiods of time, with out a thought that other guests might like to use them.
The staff were very good and hard working.

Room Tip: Rooms with a large balcony looking over the sea or pool

The hotel is one of the better ones in Port de Soller, but the night entertainment is horrible. It is very noisy, the entertainers know no english (keep to spanish and it will actually improve), and it lasts too long. As the rooms are bad soundproofed you can not escape the entertainment in your room. Also the hotel bar has a very poor selection of drinks, and they have a lack of knowledge. The breakfast is nice with lots too choose from, but the juice selection is poor, with cheap sweet german juices in stead of fresh orange juice. We're in the middle of orange country!!

The hotel is located almost ON the beach, which is great! The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is quite classy for being a three star. All in all we were surprised of the high quality of this three star hotel.

Had a fantastic holiday. The hotel is the best located in the port of soller. It is the only hotel with a pool on the front adjacent to the beach. It could do with modernising but is well worth the money.

Stayed for one week at this hotel end of May.The room was fairly average but very clean without any frills. The food was generally aimed at the German fraternity staying at the hotel as we
Brits were definately in the minority, we therefore only had breakfast at the hotel. There are lots of good restaurants and bars nearby, some have balconies with great views accross the bay.We had a couple of issues with parking, although the hotel has its own car park at 4 euros per day.Soller is peaceful and a great place to relax and this hotel fitted the bill nicely.

Room Tip: Best to book a room with seaview

The Eden looks a bit 60's inside and the rooms are utilitarian. However the staff is long-serving and friendly, rooms and dining areas are spotless and beds, though hard are so comfortable I slept better than at home. The hotel is right in the middle of the curved bay so great location. Pool was too cold in April to use.

Breakfast buffet had good selection of hot and cold food, coffee was weak and almost tasted like instant. take your own tea bags if you want a good cuppa.

All in all a pleasant 3* hotel and I would stay here again.

Spent a lovely 7 days walking holiday at the Eden Hotel in April 2011.Great loction, easy walk from the local bus stop anda prime central location on the lovely Soller sea front. We booked a standard double room but was upgraded to a superior for no extra charge.we were on the 6th floor of 7 with a superb mountain view and side sea view.
The food was self service buffet, lots of choice with meats and fish, salads and good choice of sweets, excellant breakfast fried eggs bacon salads and cheeses.Very nice dining room and bar area.friendly and helpful staff.Rooms cleaned and towels changed every day.
Bar prices are no more than local bars and we were entertained one night with a Famenco floor show.Overall very good value.

Room Tip: rooms over dining room either sea view or mountain view high floors best.
