This small hotel is lovely behind the walls. They have a beautiful garden and a nice pool with a view of the mountains. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet in the morning was good (tip - ask for the fresh orange juice).

The only negative was our room. We had the "suite" which was rather expensive. The furniture was rather cheap and the condition was not great (e.g. loose floor tiles in the bathroom).

Siutated on a small narrow street not far from the main square this is such a beautiful surprise. Once through the main door you enter a wonderful courtyard and a beautiful garden beyond. Everywhere we turned there was something interesting and so much space and different areas to sit or lie in eventhough there are only eight rooms. So comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough, they don't even make you feel like you are in hotel but in a lovely spanish courtyarded house with quirky german and hindu elements. The rooms are vast as are the baths!!! Breakfast was great out on the terrace with lovely inside spaces to dine for those cooler mornings - they have thought of everything here. Cool, quirky and relaxing, why stay anywhere else?

We spent 4 nights in this small family-owned hotel and were charmed by the beautiful hotel and garden. It's hidden behind a wooden door in a small cobbled street, but when you enter, you are welcomed by a very nice and cozy place.
It's just 5 minutes from the central plaza in Soller and the athmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The staff was kind and helpful and the breakfast was nice.
We had a family suite, which worked fine - even though a balcony would have been great.

My wife and I stayed at Ca'n Roses with our one year old daughter for a week at the end of September. It was a great place to relax and unwind. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main square in Soller where there are about 10 restaurants serving everything from fresh seafood paellas to chicken and chips. The old electric tram runs through the square full of tourists coming up the valley from Port de Soller some 30 minutes away. As you sit in the square with the sun going down sipping a cold beer and watching the last of the day visitors head back to the port you know you've made the right decision to stay in Soller. As for the hotel. We stayed in the Garden patio room which was a lovely little bolt hole. The en suite has a shower and sarcophagus shaped stone bath. The floors are stone so not great for a small child unsteady on their feet. The bed is a four poster, there's air-conditioning and patio doors looking out past a small private patio to the garden. The garden is Ca'n Roses' greatest asset. It's the size of 5 tennis courts and has tall palms, roses and plenty of other pretty flowers. There are lots of places for guests to find a quite secluded space to read a book, play cards or just soak up the atmosphere and unwind. The pool is a good size. Breakfast is good with cold meats and cheese, cereal, croissants, toast, boiled eggs, fruit juice and tea and coffee. Everyone eats together on a long table which is a nice way for the guests to say hello to each other. During the day you can help yourself to cold drinks from the honesty bar or the fridge in your room. The hotel can prepare lunch for you if you order in advance but remember you are only a stones throw away from the town square. There's not a lot to do in Soller other than wandering the small twisty streets, eat and drink... which was fine for a week. You can catch the tram to the port where you can swim in the sea and have lunch. In the opposite direction you can take the tram to Palma for the day. If you like walking there are well posted routes up the valley to smaller towns. So overall a great destination. Well done and thank you Ca'n Roses!

A lovingly put together B and B with the owner's personality shining through in the decor and details. Located down a quiet back street but within a few minutes walk of the main square and the tram stop, this B and B is perfect for those who like peace and character in their holiday accomodation. The garden is exquisite, the kind of place you'd pay money to visit even were you not staying there. The beautiful pool is overlooked by the surrounding mountains and often we had it to ourselves but for the swallows darting around. There are also two gorgeous bali beds for lazing around with a book and enjoying the sun and lush planting. The one small negative would be the breakfast which was perhaps a little lacking in choice and variety although the communal al fresco dining atmosphere goes someway to compensating. The owners clearly go the extra mile to make it a memorable and relaxing stay for their guests and every night real candles twinkle on every step and stone to light you to bed.
